RC10Tish

Post by knucklebuster »

I sat down to put this car together, opened some new parts and realized RC10 arms don't fit the 10T bulkhead!!! I've never owned a 10T and had no idea these parts were not compatable. Back to the hobby shop for some 10T arms and this is what came together. I feathered out some of the scrapes on the underside and planned to paint but then got anxious. I need to replace the servo saver screws and find some nose tubes before running.

The body is HPI, although I am not very fond of it. Roofline looks more like a 49 Merc than a Bug. HPI makes another Bug body with the roof scoop that I plan to try next.

I was thinking of using this shell to replace the old beaten one:

Price is a little high, but it is a good looking body.

I was always fond of the baja bug bodies on the RC10. I am working on one myself.....

Mine's not sitting on an rc10: it's an ultima project.
Actually I had it sitting on an optima mid before that (gave up the project before it got finished but fitted perfect), and before that it sat on my ultima with rc10T suspension.

The fit is so ample they will look good on anything with a not-too-long wheelbase
