and this was the most surprised I've ever been when I opened up a box. I'm still in shock actually.
Backstory is I picked up a Yokomo MX-4 in parts along with an MR4BC around a year ago.
I've been slowly gathering parts to put the MX-4 back together and I'm getting close.
I still need to get a new chassis and a variety of screws and I think I'm on my way.
Was planning to go the FibreLyte route on the chassis and I still may do that.
I recently came across an auction for an MX-4. I figured I could use the best parts of this car
and the best parts of the car I already have and put together a real nice car. I thought the price seamed
right and put a max bid thinking its a great deal if I get it and if not, oh well. It wasn't a big deal either way.
Well I did win the auction well below my max bid so I was pleasantly surprised to say the least.
Here's a pic of the car:

Its been run a little bit but very clean for the most part.
I'm not sure why the seller had it partly apart but I'll figure that out when I get into it.
Here's why my jaw dropped:

It came with the box!!!!!!
Nowhere in the auction did it mention the box, and there were no photos of the box.
As I was unpacking it further... there were the original Manuals!!!!!

The MX-4 Manual has more information in it than the MX-4 manual floating around the net for download.
It also has supplemental instructions and a complete parts list!!
At some point, I'll get around to scanning all the manuals and make that available to everyone.
Seams like most of my RC car buying auction experiences are "what you see is what you get".
Typically the cars are in the condition you expected them to be.
I was definitely not expecting a box and manuals with this purchase. Totally excited!!
