Mugen Bulldog II
I guess this is one of those that you either love or hate. The bulldog was my second R/C car after the super champ so I have always liked it. I found this chassis on ebay awhile back and it turned out to be in really good shape. Then I ran across the body. Still trying to find some decals. This one, like most of my cars, is a work in progress. I will keep you all updated as I go along.

Yeah, built and repaired a few back then, even run one briefly. The mk1 is more common than the mk11 these days. The Mk1 was that good the Bulldog II never made it to the UKMr. ED wrote:Anybody ever seen a bulldog (not bulldog II) ?

never got bored of hearing the air shocks wheezing as you bounced the car up and down.

Cool car. Looks like a tank. All it needs is a gun barrel sticking out of that camel hump on top.

Re: Mugen Bulldog II
I went to my first hobby show here in Chicago back in 85. I picked up a bunch of catalogs and there was an ad for the bulldog. This was the first car I've ever wanted and i told myself that I'd get one some day.
About 15 years ago, I traded my kyosho slingshot for a bulldog. It was in really bad shape (dirty, muddy & rusted). I was pretty upset because I was told that it was in mint condition (this was before the digital thing was easily accessible). The car sat in the closet for about 2 years because I couln't stand to think about it. I finally decided to restore it...I polished all of the metal parts and this is how it looks today.
I still need to install the linkage, decals for the shocks and find a driver, but it's pretty close to being complete.
Regards,
highwayracer

HR, that bulldog looks awesome... I already have like 4 more vehicles to track down and restore, I don't need to be looking for one of these too, dang it!

3 days left, it's a silly low price but it will sure go further up.
