The transmission case you have pictured is for the xxx line of vehicles. There were several xxx transmissions over the years, but the XXX-SCT and XXX-DT (desert truck) used the gear diff. The insides of the trans. cases vary widely, but if the gear diff physically fits inside the case, then you should be set. I believe there are bearing kits available on eBay and elsewhere, and parts for the XXX-SCT are still available as well. I run the XXX-SCT gear diff. trans. in my XXXT, but you're going to have some major modifications ahead of you if you plan to put the xxx trans. into the XXT. But it will fit fine in that XXX chassis you have.
thanks
after reading a bit it was clear that its not a drop in , and really don't want to rebuild a xxx for a chassis and a few trans parts lol
did get my replacement trans today for the xx
and the seller threw in a big o box of goodies (including a complete extra hydra slipper)
what size screws does the xx use (metric/standard) so I can attach the trans and get her on the road again
ps man I miss my xx buggy I was digging thru my stuff to see if I had a manual and found this pic of my old xx
I really don't remember what happened to it , must have sold it
