Where Did the Turbo Mirage Bodies Go?
Up until a couple weeks ago, the Team Associated #6162 Turbo Mirage bodies were plentiful and cheap. I think the last one I bought was like $15.50 with free shipping. Now the only one on ebay is in australia? I purchased a repro "no scoop" turbo mirage body from OLDTIMERC and it was still a good deal considering it also comes with a gear cover and wing. Are the old AE bodies being discontinued along with the parts? Should I be buying up Protechs and 10T truck bodies before they all disappear? I know I can always get them from TBG, but it has been nice having these old bodies readily available all over ebay for between $15-$20 delivered.

The 6130 team truck bodies are disappearing fast too. I just picked up one of the last few on ebay. Suddenly these can't be had for less than $30

Re: Where Did the Turbo Mirage Bodies Go?
I see Protechs are out of stock at AE as well. Both say expected sometime in October but sometimes, as you know, this can easily become "item has been discontinued".
I still have a few NIB AE bodies on hand but I used my last Turbo Mirage on that Stealth runner. Honestly, I think I'd rather have a scoopless version anyway. But it's disturbing to see parts out of stock or being discontinued whether I happen to prefer them or not. This is especially true for bodies since they tend to be a consumable part.

The "old days" of collecting/building vintage rc10's will slowly start coming back around. They're not gonna produce this stuff forever.
Although, I think the bodies are probably a temporary thing.

Bodies might be difficult, but for other things, I can see the advancement of 3D printing making up for a lot of discontinued parts.

Re: Where Did the Turbo Mirage Bodies Go?
I believe (hope) scr8p means that the bodies at AE are only temporarily out of stock.
I'm not an expert but I think 3D printing still has a ways to go to match injection molding for accuracy, aesthetics, and durability.

Could someone please provide a link? Goggle seems to be letting me down here. thanks.

Thanks Mike. I've order a body and some other stuff.
I'm kicking myself right now for not checking them out before.
