hot pink RC10T
welp did a new trade deal today
traded a fully rebuilt newer model traxxas rustler (brushed)
for a og rustler , a rc10 t and a big o lot of parts
(really big bonus the rustler has a reedy/xps brushless setup in it weeee)
rc10 looks pretty complete and everything is looking workable , only thing really standing out is the goofy rear tires /rims
and after going through all the parts looking like I have almost a complete set of spares
to bad the body os so beat really love the hot pink and neon yellow color on a side note just my luck got super excited when I saw the red alloy buggy /rims but alas only ended up with one front and one rear uggggggggggggggg

Re: hot pink RC10T
thanks
didn't take much to get her road worthy
first tore down the trans and cleaned it and replaced bushings with bearings
then replaced the original rim/tires with some new style ones (also installed bearings in the hubs and front rims instead of the bushings it had)
after that all I had to do was yank the XPS sc500bl ESC , and the reedy 3300 bl motor out of the rustler
throw in a receiver and I'm calling her a runner
just need to order a new body and try and find some paint to match the old body

Re: hot pink RC10T
lookin good!
Always good to see a nice restore. I'm sure you can still get a pretty penny for those wheels.
(man the sight of those early Rustlers makes me cringe- is it just me?

I like the older bodies traxxas used , that's really about the only difference , from the old vs the new ones . the new bodies just look to fake .although I like pre 80s full size cars so it may just my taste leaning to older designs

Re: hot pink RC10T

Had a garage sale over the weekend , and listed some of my RC stuff
Well everyone wanted this car ,and my Tamiya lunchbox done up as the mystery machine
(Neither were listed for sale lol )
It's was nice to see how most people really wanted the older machines. ,even tho I had a bunch of new traxxas junk out actually In the sale lol
