Thanks for inviting me into the forum. The information here has been invaluable. It's been like a science experiment with all these parts.
Back in the 80's, my first car was a grasshopper. What got me back into the hobby was, recently, was getting an original Wild Willy 2 and a Lunchbox for next to nothing from a local flea market.
I've had a few RC10's sitting in bins in the closet for 15 yrs, from what I know now, is a gold pan Cadillac and an original World's milled car.
I wanted a project car to experiment with; this appears to be an early Team car and this is what I purchased:
I made the mistake of buying new turnbuckles on ebay, prior to trying to restore them. With Dollar Tree CLR, the rusted parts came out perfect.
- The 1/4" vs 3/16" axle seems to be a conundrum?
- As in the picture, there was some large screw in the pivot. Luckily the outer hole is fine. I'm missing one pivot , the front pivots seem to be an extra 1mm longer. Can anyone suggest proper "in stock" pivots that will work?
- I also see the diff gear has one middle bearing, later versions have 2, which seems better.
Any experiences with this car is welcomed.
Thank you!

Re: Early Team Car - Restore
I'm not as good as posting updates to a rebuild progress, but I ended up creating 3D models of the few parts that I was missing.
From left to right: stealth bushing, front shock pivot, rear shock shorty pivot, pivoting shock button. They came out great and work very well. I'll create a thingiverse account and share these with the community.
I intended this car to be a runner and I'll take my time in getting the few missing parts to replace the printed ones.
Thanks for this forum, I've learned so much.
