Good morning. My son and I were using our Wal-Mart RC 's a lot in July/August so I decided to grab my RC-10 and gear off the shelf in the basement. Much to my surprise the ancient batteries held a decent charge and I started to run it around the driveway/street. I've since picked up new batteries and am looking for new tires. Junior is about to turn 5 and thought it was the coolest car ever.
Anyway, that started me looking into upgrading it and getting some new trucks. I'm not having much luck with hobby shops, but I do need to check with the shop I purchased it from yet. I built it in 90 or 91 and it's mostly all original.
I came here to learn about it and all the new technology. I'm 43 and haven't even used my RC since 1999. Looking forward to learning lots and having fun!
I'm located in NE Wisconsin. I'll try attaching some pics in a bit.

Welcome Rosco1080
A great age to start Junior on a hobby. Close to when I started pinewood derby then on to slot cars.
I'm sure members here will help with what you need and pictures really help
Spent most of my summers as a youth in NE Wi. Great area!

Heh, don't leave those NiCads on the charger! My dad blew up the original battery pack for my RC10 that way!
I've since upgraded to a 6 cell 7.2V NiMH and trickle charger, and it makes me feel much safer when I leave it on for a long time!
Welcome!
