Looking for setup suggesting for my b2 b3 buggy for a .indoor clay track. Specifically what shock oil to use. But looking for a quick and dirty setup sheet
Right now it is overpowered with a castle mamba setup that might get swapped for something more low key
I will swap a shorty battery later.
I am new to racing .
I was just there with my B3 before Thanksgiving. It was getting around pretty well.

Super soft slicks are the way to go there. I have proline Inversions on my car and they worked alright.
On a side note, jwscab and myself try to meet up there once a month or so on a Sunday to run the old stuff. I'll give you a heads up next time we'll be going.
As I've been racing nothing but nitro cars for the past few years, I didn't pay alot of attention to the brushless motors and lipo batteries that everybody is running now. I'm planning on getting a setup to run some vintage races and want to stay...

LRP TC Comp in my Durango with a X12 motor, small esc that runs great, the Durango isn't that bad either.
I also got one of the LRP Stock Spec with timing advance with a X12 motor. Lets just say the guys in Superstock don't like that combo too much...
Anyone have a buggy champ roller that they setup? I'm not using Tamiya's ESC nor their batteries. So I was wondering how did you set yours up?
Any help on what ESC, motor, servo, receiver, and battery would be appreciated....

I've got a 2.4ghz radio, I just took the two little antenna and taped them to the top of the steering servo. Figured a radio like that won't get any interference from a servo motor. If you want to run a regular antenna tube, your best bet might...
Hey guys, well I hadn't checked in for a while with the local RC shop that has indoor racing and they've added a 2wd buggy class on FRiday nights. To start out I thought I'd bring my son and the newly acquired craigslist B3 that I got him and I can...

Thanks for the advice on lipos and brushless! Lipos are probably more in our immediate future.
Had a really fun time last night! He took it pretty slow and the car did wonderfully and I have to say I really really like this little B3. I think I...
I am putting together a B4.1 worlds to race 17.5T stock buggy class at my local track..
The buggy was raced, and needs a going through to be to my standards for race ready - I feel I scored with buying a Novak club ESC/17.5T combo for $104 shipped...

I'll probably go with the new Tekin Redline 17.5T RPM/ RS Gen2 ESC combo and sell or use the Novak setup in a crawler I have..
I have my XX buggy (original, not CR) and have found that 22 front wheels are too deep, rubs the steering ballcup/knuckle. XXX rears also did not fit without some 'love' given to the rear carrier, it was too tall and rubbed. (I could very easily put...

Those are great, but if I am at a track in a pinch, I want to be able to use off the shelf items. I'm being stubborn too :)
25 years ago when I raced, all the pros used a KO FET steering servo. It was very quick for its time (something like 0.01 sec or something like that). Was is the steering servo to have today if racing competitively and how have servos developed...

I also use the Spektrum DX5R Pro but Futaba still has top of the line stuff along with Sanwa (Airtronics) and KO Propo
