New to vintage Losi, but thought a resto would be fun. Can someone give me a little back story on these hpi wheels? They are marked Japan in the back.

I picked up this buggy(?) from a friend who was getting out of the RC's. I just missed the Nitro truck.
I think it's ~2 years old, run less than 5 times (never raced). :mrgreen:

Anyway, it has a XXXT Graphite chassis kit, and the Graphite...

Def. a xxxt matt francis edition 2 (MF2) I thought they came with CVD-s but none the less a nice truck. I have a MF1 (virtually the same) and is my alltime favorite to drive.

Hi All,

Well first things first I am Adam LOL. I was just tooling around on ebay and Found myself a Nitro DS complete minus radio with Bump Start Box, extra bodies, gears, and misc parts for $85!!!! Not completely a vintage kit but, atleast I think...

I started building this when I received it new.
Never finished it until recently.
Now it's my Wifes car.
Mods include: Black shock bodies (Thanks Old RC), Associated slipper, new bell cranks (OEM cracked) and new wheels/tires.
Still have the OEM...

Ok another dumb question for you guys. How are the HPI wheels supposed to mount on the front of the 10t/t2 series trucks. I have the front collar adapter kit and there isn't one in that kit that fits. Of course they don't have instructions with...

I found the back threads on HPI for a JRXT and wantot make sure I source the right ones. What are the part #'s for front and rear? I also could not find any other information on any other modern wheels will fit the T right?

Has anyone ever used acetone to remove tyres from old school HPI 5 spoke wheels? Want to take some worn tyres off but not if if it trashes the wheels.

bearrickster, I went ahead and tried acetone on the wheels and can confirm that Vintage HPI 5 spokes are acetone proof, if anyone else needs to know :-)

well i converted my front axles to the RB5 style, and used the readily available 5 star chrome wheels HPI still sells, car looks great with these wheels. wrote a tutorial on tamiya club, and they can be cut up on like 5 min

the rears fit perfect...

The RB5 axle carriers are areally wide. those Tamiya axles are a definite NO.
