I bought this truck a long time ago with no idea what I’d do with it other than clean it up one day. Well the purchase of one exhaust manifold for a wrong car later I’ve got an idea.
An early race truck build on a budget chassis……
Here’s an overall new layout on the chassis using the Ofna Pirate 10 header and a Paris pipe for the race look.
I trimmed a repro body, the front wheel arches look good in comparison to other stadium trucks. But the rear looks awful. Wheelbase is way too short.
Here’s a very crude mock-up chassis with the wheelbase lengthened 1/2”. Much better IMO.
Now I need to make a real chassis out of much thicker aluminum. It’s going to retain the same basic shape as the original but be slightly wider to accommodate the fuel tank new position. And I may get some custom cut carbon towers and front brace made.

Much better, I've always liked the looks of these trucks.
I was old school - when old school wasn't cool !

I need to get back on this. I just know the chassis is going to be a lot of work and I’m procrastinating.
