Well, recovery from my injuries seems to be taking forever... but I am at least able to walk short distances with a crutch, I still can't use my left arm much but rehab for that should finally start next week.

So I am optimistic I will be functional by January - I'll just have to bribe my wife to corner-marshal for me! :)

I have an RC10T that I am going to be adding a 17.5 brushless system to. What is a good starting point for gear ratio with the 17.5 motor?

Only a couple weeks away! Can’t wait to see you guys at the race. This year we’re trying the 21.5 heritage class which should be interesting. Looks like quite a few people are giving that a shot. Also adding awards for concours. I’ll try to take more photos this year

He can elaborate but basically crashed on a scooter, busted leg and shoulder.

Poor bugger, left arm is for throttle so he only needs to use his finger

It happened awhile back. He missed the Vonats in September because of it. But it sounds like he's healing up and should be making the trip.

Howdy!
Yes I am planning to make it to NC in a couple weeks!

Yeah, I wrecked on one of those stand-up electric scooters - was going about 30mph and slammed down hard...
- Severe injuries to left shoulder (shattered humeral head) and left knee (Broken tibial plateau and fibula).
- It has been a long road to recovery and I still have a long way to go.

And yes! I can drive an R/C car (I drove an Arrma Typhon in the street the other day), left trigger finger works fine, and right arm is un-scathed!

Glad to hear you’re on the mend, Dan. Can’t wait to see you, we missed you at VONATs
