New member, need help with my ride!!!

Post by blksheep214 »

Ok, Ive been out of the hobby for only about oh say mmmm, 20 some odd years, but I still have my gold pan RC10 and it still works!!! I want to restore it. Basically I want it to look better then I was able to build it when I was 15 or 16, I cant remember exactly what age. Anyway, I need parts, parts, and parts. But have no idea where to start, I'm assuming the starting point would be ground zero (disassembly) but any suggestions on making this thing scream again!!!

That bad boy needs a thorough cleaning. Nice car, it's actually the early model you have there. One thing is totally wrong on it: the rear arm mounts are mounted the wrong way (left to right and right to left), your rear wheels should lean toward the front (toe in) You also need to mount those rear arm mounts in the most forward position to have your shocks at 90°... and that will really change the handling of the car!
