FAST!!!! I need a measurement! ASCOT/BBT Sprint Cage
I need a measurement of either a BBT or ASCOT sprint car cage at the top of the driver's area main roll halo, from edge to edge. Anyone that can help, it would surely be appreciated. I have one at home, but that doesn't help me here at the office...
QUICK!
QUICK!

at the widest point, since those bars are curved, is 3 9/16". the cage behind the driver, where it comes up from the chassis is 3 3/4".
hope that helps.

Like a tetnus shot, a little pain at the beginning will always make you better off at the end.![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

On a positive note, 3 9/16" is complaint for the front half of the car.
It would just take 3/16" to make the rear compliant
Half compliant is more than some cars from what I have read![Laughing ](./images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)

Re: FAST!!!! I need a measurement! ASCOT/BBT Sprint Cage
There are some sprint cars out there now that are ridiculously wide, and it's just silly looking. I had nothing to do with the rule, and I would have personally made it 3.750", but it's not my call. There was a good reason and a valid system used to create that dimension, so I'll leave it at that.
My favorites will always be the original ASCOT RC10s.![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)

I always enjoyed the look of the non-downtube cars as well. JJ Yeley drove a midget at the chili bowl that was non-downtube and they still look cool now!
P.S. EDM bodies do need to look more scale
