What are you dressing up as?

Post by Halgar »

All Hallow's Eve is upon us, what are you dressing up as? If you're not dressing up, what are your kids dressing up as?

(yeah, yeah, I know, stole the topic from CT ... )

If I had a kid I'd send him out as Watermelon Butt, because Pumpkinhead has been so over done!

I'm gonna be a poor person. But I get to dress up like that everyday.

My 6-yr-old son is Indiana Jones.... his favorite quote is from Short Round... "You call him Docta Jones doll!!"
My 8-yr-old daughter is Calliope, the muse of epic poetry. Her latest reading kick has been any and all books about mythology.
The preceding contained opinions, beliefs and thoughts that all may not agree with. No offense was intended at any point. Carry on.

We had our Halloween party last week here in Nagoya, here's some pics of the psycho-billy event.
I've been visiting this event almost every month in the past 2 years and have made lots of friends.

Because it was the last ime I got to sing in the band of my good buddy Kyo-billy.

Most part of the night I was Jason, staying unrecognized to most, then on-stage changed to Lemmy Kilmister for my motorhead impersonation.
Ace of Spades!

I'll try to post some pics this weekend, but she's 8 going on 35!!
Her first novel was The Lion, the Witch & the Wardrobe, which she wanted to read before the she saw the movie-- in kindergarten!!!
She read the first six Harry Potter books in 1st grade in preparation of the final book's release in the summer of 07. The final HP movie installment was due out this year (changed to next summer much to both my kids' chagrin), so FOR FUN, IN HER FREE TIME, my daughter re-read the entire 7 book series -- in just under a 5 week span.  Being a voracious reader she luckily enjoys reading on the can, so that makes dad proud!

Holy Mackerel! At that age I was proud to be reading the "read along" books by myself! LOL

Lets' just say that I have my moments and leave it at that.

I'm actually a pretty mild mannered, easy to get along with, type of guy. I'm also not that old, but put me up against most of you young'n's and, well, I start feeling the 4+ decades already behind me pretty good!
