Hi all, does anyone know what is the diameter of the YR4 diff balls? I would say 3mm, but I'm not sure.. And I don't have any to measure here with me.
Thanks!!

UP!..
In my opinion all the Yokomo diffs have balls with the same diameter..
And they should be metric (thus 3mm).
Anyone with spare balls to measure?
PLS!

The thrust balls should be 1.2mm, as those for the YR4.
However the dimension of the thrust balls and washers is not really critical since the only constraint is the internal diameter of the outdrive.
You could use slightly larger or slightly smaller balls without problems.
You could also use conical washers from other brand diffs instead of the proper spring washer, or even a small spring (probably you would need a longer screw in that case).

Thanks for the info! My diffs, actually my whole car, is still brand new, but as we're probably going to run it, we're trying to gather info for when we do need parts!
Thanks again,
Doug
I have a RC10GT and I need to get replacement front axle nuts but the manual is not clear on the size I need to get. I can't find them locally so I have to order them, so are they 6-40 or 5-40, the manual shows both as the size.

And don't over-tighten them. The threaded section will snap off.
Just got my ce rc10 in the mail that I won on ebay and have a quick question. I noticed that the dog bones are trying to come out of their sockets sometimes when i pick it up. Could this be a worn out spring or is this just a 'common problem'?

That is a really trick mod. Support for those gears will absolutely prolong their life.

as my journey starts for a search for an rc10.. i have ran into a question
im sure we all know that the rc10t2 has the 2.6:1 transmission gear ratio
that means all current transmission parts(t4,b4,sc10) fit.
that being said

I would charge them on something newer just to be sure you don't shorten the life of the cells. The delta peak setting is very important with NiMh cells, it can make or break them.
So I have a quick question about wheels. What is everyone doing these days for aluminum wheels? Besides scouring the net forever hoping to get lucky...LOL

I suppose it also depends on your budget. I've seen some vintage ones being sold at ridiculous (to me) prices on the bay.
