AE shock shafts sizes-please help-

I have myself a couple of sets of what I think are B3 teflon coated shocks. I have ordered some seal rebuild kits and when I stripped the shocks down I found most of the shafts to be bent. I was hoping I might track down some of the 'gold' stronger shock shafts like found on the B4. Can anybody please let me know the 2 different lengths I will need (front and rears) and even a good place to buy them from over the net? Thankyou in advance-Jason.

For the factory team shafts, the fronts are .71" #6418 and rears are 1.02" #6417. I usually get these from towerhobbies.com.

I decided to rebuild the shocks on a DS I picked up recently and didn't like the scratches on them. First stop was the manual for part #'s and then Tower which had it, #8845, in limited quantities so I ordered 4 and got the bounce back that only 2...

Put the gold shafts in front,makes it look nicer and the front tends to move up and down more than the rear.The rears you really cant see so who would notice the difference.DON

Not sure if this is the right place. Looking to understand options for replacement shock shafts on the older Associated shocks. I noticed a bent shaft on one of the front shocks on my RC10GT. If I remember correctly these are the 1.02 shocks. Are...

Most fit but there are some with larger shafts.

I use common -006 size, 50A silicone o rings. They aren't anything special.

There are some kits on Ebay for ~$6.

Do MIP shocks shafts for Losi shocks work with Associated shocks? I don't know if the shaft diameters and piston attachment methods are the same.

Also, did MIP make suspension hinge pins back in the day?

Onto the re-build of my JRX2 shock absorbers and I thought I could clean up the shafts that came with the car. Unfortunately they have ridges in them. I've managed to get some original rear replacements but not fronts - are there any alternative...

Hi all doing up graphite with stealth and am getting some shock towers off atlas to use, any thoughts and ideas on which shock sizes are best for front and rear? Any info welcome thanks

Trying to sort through some Associated shock bodies and wanted to know where you measure them to determine the part number. e.g. 0.71 is that the overall length, bore depth or the diameter where the spring sits?
