Ok guys this is a sneak peak at the powdercoated chasis build. I still have to paint the wing, actually its drying right now. This is the first body I painted like this, I did a 10T in 94 but it was one color only, so please be kind if you see flaws. Ill be taking it out for better shots on thur. This is what I have so far.
I'm trying really hard to get this ready for the next vintage meet on the 14th of Feb, with a Technigold up it's bum it should give the RC10 & Losi brigade a run for their money...............if we go to the beach.
Anyway, I've been impatient so...
Picked this up on ebay and decided to restore it. All the nylon was dyed red so to even out the color I went with black. I decided to put on my Technicraft wheels that I bought back in the day. Now I'm just waiting for some front shocks as the ones...

Can't wait to see it. I love things that are awesomely bad. I've created a few things (R/C and otherwise) in my day that could easily fall into that category.
Here is my Curtis Husting checkered paint scheme replica as seen on the cover of the original RC10 manual. I still have to paint the wing and the driver and install decals. This paint scheme was NOT easy! I have about 18 hours in it so far.

Most of my older Peak Performance are Yokomo can & endbell, although one is Yok can and Air Supply endbell. But I have one PP motor that is Trinity Epic based. Both of those are from a former PP sponsored racer so I don't think there's been too much...

Im wondering about the copper springs. 2 of mine yok cars came with the rears, but not fronts. Seems it would be a VERY SOFT overall setup. I can see that on a very long travel car like xx4, but not sure how the 93wcs, 94, and 95 97 models stack up...
Looking for the YS-2R and YS-2F spring sets. Really just need the copper springs. For a Works 91 and Works 93.
I do have several sets of the springs in other finishes. Might try to get them copper plated.
Thanks

So that bag of springs went for $170 and that was just for the rears. Crazy.
I decided to make my own copper springs. I electro plated some Yokomo silver springs. Took about $25 worth of stuff (muriatic acid, copper wire and a power supply at 5...
Does it really make that much of a difference when you use the copper bullet connectors? Just the standard ones that come on some rtr brushless setups? I have been using them on my trucks just for ease of swapping motors when needed. I'm curious...

EC3's are a bit small for batteries that have 10 and 8 gauge wire. ec5's would be needed, that's why i still use deans, they work for all my batteries.
