Re: Some recent paint..
Looks awesome. I would love to learn how to do that, but I am the farthest thing from being an artist of any kind.
I bought a starter airbrush kit once and it didn't end well...

Very nice job Brandon, how did you do the black outline, if I might ask?

Re: Some recent paint..
Actually, it's a metallic purple.... I used duratrax 1/8" pinstriping mask. It's very cheap and flexible enough. I haven't found any that will stick really well with the tight turns on these bodies. I usually finish the tight bends off with regular 3m tape and cut to match. PS don't use the green 3m masking tape, it leaves weird static charge in the body that airbrushes don't get along with. I painted a bug body thinking that this tape would be best. Went to start fading and the places where I had the crap laid down and removed showed up badly!a01butal wrote:Very nice job Brandon, how did you do the black outline, if I might ask?

Re: Some recent paint..
No its the DTM Mercedes body. The bumper is no big deal. Bring it over here and I'll put it on my car lift and have it done in 1/2hour. I know it will take you a lot longer to paint a body.
Got anything else you need done?

DTM look cool, are you boxarting it or streetcar
I have one that was done without decals by hand as I couldn't find any at the time, got a set now to go on new shell when I get around to it eventually

Oh Brandon, you get my PM?
