the company should be called..... 3G's, since that's how much it would probably cost to buy one.
i'd rather have an ATV.

I think it is a ATV with some servos and a fiberglass body?

That's kinda cool! I wouldn't want one, but it's cool. It actually looks like it can handle some rough housing, where 1/4 scale rigs seem fairly fragile. It would be fun to see one run in person.

No, I think if I brought that home my wife would have me committed and rightfully so.

Just tell her it's so you can give the kids rides around the yard.

Kids? you mean dogs...... probably more like chase the dogs around the yard. They'd prob be terrified of something that big.

Agreed big time. Seems the direction is to continually get bigger, faster, and more powerful. The electricfied 1/8 scales are certainly cool, but wow are they dangerous. Now we are seeing even bigger truggy versions, beyond scary. So far they have been mostly limited to experienced guys, but what happens as rookies start with these monsters?wts873 wrote:I would not want something that heavy and fast that has questionable build quality. that thing could easily kill
Anyone involved in racing knows that there is a tendency to start out with way too much power, hey we're racing right, gotta keep up with the experienced fast guys. In the day with 1/10 scales it was kinda amusing, but with the amount of power and mass that is readily available now I don't think it's all that funny anymore.
Added to the desire for ever increasing race times, harder for marshalls to stay focused, not good. Hate to say it, but expect to see more difficulties with liability.
Either that, or I've become an old fudy dudy.
Or both.

Re: The Latest and Greatest RC Car 1/3 scale
I was just thinking some of the rc stuff is getting too extreme. I see now there is a Schumacher car that can hit 100 mph? Great. All we need now are some inconsiderate douchebags to do something stupid which will bring negative attention to us. Then we'll get the knee-jerk reactions from the politicians and rc will be legislated.
