LOSI LX-T wheel question.

Post by templeofspeed »

:?:
Will the LX-T wheels fit an RC10T? The box-art on my Dudgeon/A-Main nitro conversion shows the truck fitted with them, but I thought Losi used bearings in the front carriers, not the wheels. Am I thinking of the XX-T?

Any help appreciated! :D

I'll post a want in BST if I get the right answer!

I know A-Main did a Losi conversion, too. But the pic on the box is definitely a 10T. :)

The LX-T uses a 3/16 x 3/8 bearing mounted in the wheel. I think it was the XX series that was the first to have spindle mounted bearings.

If you come across an extra set of new yellow LX-T rear wheels (A-7174), I'm on the lookout for some to finish my restoration.

Thanks for the info. I'm looking for natural/white. I found a set of
A-7071 fronts. 8)

Do you have a part number for the white rears?

Are these what you're looking for?:

EDIT: only the buggies from XX on had bearings in the front spindle. Trucks have always had bearings in the front wheels.

Watching that auction, thanks!

Did some digging in a 1994 RC Car Action, looks like Losi did make a set of disc wheels for the RC-10T.
Stormer Racing listed:

A-7074 front (neon yellow)
A-7171 fit Losi rear (natural color I guess)
A-7174 fit Losi rear (neon yellow)
A-7181 fit RC-10T rear (natural I guess)
A-7184 fit RC-10T rear (neon yellow)

Didn't see A-7071 listed

Well, I went digging in my stash and I found a set of A-7171 LXT natural rear sish wheels new in pack. It's bad when you forget what you have squirreled away.

If you want them, let me know and we'll work something out.
