Re: Tamiya will re-release the Holiday Buggy
Honestly if they just shortened the suspension arms and mounted up the original wheels so they fit under the fenders I think most nostalgia buyers would have seriously considered it. As it is a lot of Tamiya Corporate product professionals are going to be sitting around wondering why the Holiday Bug...

Re: What has happened to Losi?
I recieved a catalogue the other day from Tower Hobbies, & its literally full of RTR stuff from all the manufacturers... and its all very reasonably priced. In some repects its good that it allows everyone almost instant access to the hobby & will encourage new-comers that might otherwise b...

I wouldn't run the battery longitudinally, combined with the mid motor setup you'll be too nose heavy. I'd suggest running it transverse, as far back as you can...

Re: MIP 4X4 kit for the RC10 - GAUGING INTEREST ONLY
Maybe I'm missing something...carry on  The original kits usualy fetch around $1000. Not that this is what MIP are targeting but to supply a front gearbox and all the necassary hardware for a kit like this I think we are all thinking anywhere between $300-$500 is a safe bet. I'd bet more aroun...

Re: Low, low Losi prices
For seconders- The LXT and ProSE/Jr2-T series of cars are pretty much responsible for what off road chassis look like to this very day. Today's cars are not stamped aluminum, they're molded composites, and those were started by Losi. From the B4 to the micro baja. To me this is where it all went wr...

Re: How'd I do??
By the looks of it the PO put Tamiya screws through the motor plate to the gearbox. If so you will want white gearbox halves, a white tranny brace, and a white bodymount.

Re: Check out this tub!
It's a bad design to have the motor oriented along the long axis that close to the steering. Gyroscopic forces will make the turning inconsistant left to right. The best 4WD layout I have ever seen: http://www.oople.com/rc/photos/misc/oople-ultimateimpact01.jpg It's a Dark Impact with a saddle pack ...

Re: What are the correct tires for the original kit?
Proline Champion rear tires are very similar to the blank 4 3 tire, maybe just a touch narrower. Associated never moved a lot of tires off the wall, so finding the Prolines may be a bit easier. A pair of Proline 4 rib fronts might complement them well (See Mike's E-Bay links while you can...). Bob

If you have a local hobby shop you should buy through them, especially if they have the track you plan on racing on. Tower should be a last resort for those without access to a local hobby shop, IMHO...

Re: RC10 DS front End Parts Availability
I'm not sure if the DS ever sold well. It seems like it may they may be unsupported parts due to lack of demand. Two different versions of what I want to do ... Speedys.jpg EC1.jpg Another option seems to be the front arms off of the Losi 18th scale 2WD platform, but I would still have to come up wi...

RC10 DS front End Parts Availability
How hard is it to find RC10DS front end parts? The AE database still lists front bulkheads (front suspension mounts) but does not list the front arms. Other items are interchangeable with the original RC10 and are still available (30 degree caster blocks, spindles, etc.). I am thinking of putting a ...
