Losi jrt ball joints
Hi, I have a Losi JRT. Looks like these were made in 1991 and not sure how long it was made or upgraded so not positive of the date of my truck. I can find many items but I cannot find the screw in ball joints. I ordered what I though were correct ones, without a part number, but when they came in t...

Re: HPI RS4 4wd help?
Thanks shodog! You have quite the collection of cars! I did take the diff apart and can see just how simple and yet strong it is. I wish there were new diffs available as the grooves in the output shafts have quite a bit of wear in them all around. It is a fun 10th scale car though. I ordered the be...

Re: HPI RS4 4wd help?
Of course now I see the differences between yours and mine. I have 2 belts and you have one. Mine seems much more basic too. Yours looks like double a-arms up front. I ordered a pair of belts for mine and notice the front nerf, crash bumper is broken on mine just under and forward of the transfer gea...

Re: Traxxas TRX .12 brakes.
That confirms how I put mine back together then. A very clear picture of that braking system. I had to modify mine a bit because of wear but it does work now. Thank you!

Traxxas TRX .12 brakes.
I got my Traxxas Nitro sport 2wd running finally after getting the rear sorted out and a new carb.. So, it runs well but the brakes are a mystery. I know how they work but the main bent wire setup that presses the plates together keeps dropping so that the adjuster on the bottom end isn't pressing a...

Re: HPI RS4 4wd help?
That looks great! I did just finish a body for mine and will post pictures when I can get to it. I did notice your main gear is set up like mine but I don't have the added spring and nut on the end like so many setups on my other cars, losi, traxxas, associated. So apperently I don't have the parts ...

Re: Team losi, but what?
Wow, thanks for all that. I will probably end up doing as much metal as possible then with those links. I already have the plastic ball bearing gear ordered so I can see how adjusting the slipper calms the wear down. Just have to stick with it and finish the darn thing. It will be my first 4wd car a...

Re: HPI RS4 4wd help?
Now that I look at more manuals, I see this has the same diff as the HPI RS4 rally, which doesn't seem to have a slipper clutch anywhere, just screwed to the spur gear hub. So, anyone here have a rally? Is there any place to adjust slippage? Or was that more of an aftermarket part? I haven't taken i...

Re: HPI RS4 4wd help?
Hobbydick and banggood, had to laugh. Ok, I downloaded the plain old HPI RS4 but I don't know if it was stored on my computer or if I have to go to the competition.com site each time. It didn't ask me to save it anywhere. Definately the plain RS4 even though it does different body mounts. It matches...

Re: Team losi, but what?
I did find this at Amain hobbies ; https://www.amainhobbies.com/robinson-racing-aluminum-ball-differential-gear-rrp9404/p-quarq2qagz2xactz , but it is on a back orders status. And Thorp did have one alum side for the outer gears from that diff. Now the weak point will be the output shafts which are ...

Team losi, but what?
I had this running the other day with a new brushless motor and lipo batterie. Sure was nice. I didn't adjust the slipper clutch and as the pictures will show, I stripped a gear. The chassis battery box holder says Team Losi on it but I can't find what type it is in order to see where I can find a n...

Re: Who's into slot cars
If only..sigh. Back in the 60's, 1/24 and HO. We had a 10 lane track in town when I was a kid. We had enduros of a few hours. Had to actually dunk the controllers in the toilet to cool them off a the end of each section. My dad built the cars. They were all vintage cars from 60's. My favorite was th...

Apparently though it only works only with the topic you are currently looking at, not all of them, sigh. Oh well
