Re: My Son's First RC10 Build
I'm looking forward to seeing your progress. My son is 10 years younger than yours and will be sticking to using my first RC car that I brought back to life, a tamiya Boomerang. He'll have to graduate at some point to an RC10 though, I'm worried he may want the newest Traxxas RTR by then

Looks like you have most of everything you need to get started. I would get a new battery and charger and give it a go.

Nick,
It would really depend on the year of the car and how far along you are. It will probably be worth more unused and unfinished.

Re: Old "new" guy - Intro
Congrats on rediscovering your RC10. My parents never had the means to buy me an RC10 so when a college roommate offered me his old RC10 car and gear, I jumped at that. He used to race up until the early 90's. It was now '98 or '99 and he gave me enough stuff to put together a solid runner. My first...

I love the look. Very nice car. Sway bar looks good as well. I've had to make my own.

Re: diff clutch slipping on 6-gear trans.
I replaced the top shaft assembly with one that had the stock washers in place. It works much better. I'm not slipping anymore. Still have some more testing to due but I broke a turnbuckle running this evening and left it for now.
Thanks
