Re: Ten4.1
The new tensioner mounts to the front tube screw like the original one, but is an arm instead of an eccentric, and the tension is adjusted with a screw that extends down to the pan (I'll put a "foot" of some sort on the bottom of the screw so it doesn't mar the pan). Adjusting that screw ...

I hope someone will get the pics of the first pages sorted. This thread is just great, so quirky! I love it.

Re: Help ID those wheel hexes
You may have to grind some of the adapter away so that it tightens against the pin before it hits the bearing. Ah no, the slot in the hex is not too deep; I phrased my description clumsily. If anything the wheel axle could use a few thin shims behind the pin to take up the axial slop. It's just tha...

Re: Help ID those wheel hexes
HPI if I had to guess. I got the car with HPI wheels on it, so that's a real possibility... Do they have a taper inside and does the pin fit loose in the slot? They could be ones for Rc10. The pin is not tight in the slot, but not "loose" either. However, the pin is not held by the hex, s...

Help ID those wheel hexes
Hello everyone
Found out those hexes on the back of my TRX1 are not stock. Any idea what they are?

Do I see HPI preload clips on top of Tamiya TC springs? SACRILEGE!

Re: B1M RC10 Mid Motor Conversion
That looks awesome! You need to change out those front axles for standard ones since those wheels are different offset then rc10 worlds front wheels. I was going to say that something looked wrong with those axles. Anyway, stunning car! Initially I wasn't sold on the red transmission case but you m...

Nice build Paul! What is the carbon-patterned thing behind the bumper? A piece of lexan to cover the half pound of lead you had to add?

Re: Yellowdatsuns mid-motor conversion, on the cheap!
Sweet! How is the stiffness in the central area, where you have your servo? I'm asking because it looks like some flexing in that area could make your car steer to the right, by "pushing" the servo link forward. Anyway, looks even better in G10!

Re: New bolt-in mid motor conversion project
Nice! Love the idea. Since you're designing the transmission case "from scratch", what about offsetting the motor plate to the left to make the motor more centered? I guess that could cause issues with the top shaft (although a GT2 top shaft could help) and it could make it harder to locat...
