Re: Christmas goodies are coming in.

I bought a bunch of those style helis for my groomsmen as thank you presents at my wedding. 7 grown men, very......very drunk, flying these things around a hotel. Not a hotel room but the hotel lobby, atrium, elevators, everywhere. It was amazing. This is what I'm waiting for to show up: http://www....

Re: RC10 TUBE FRAME BUILD

I'd be more interested in an SC chassis than anything. Don't get me wrong I like my buggies, but I already have two of them. I'd like to build something a little different for a change.

Re: Duster 2 with a dead mosfet.

A datasheet is something I was hoping I could get some help with. I haven't had any luck finding one. I may just go with your suggestion though.

Duster 2 with a dead mosfet.

What i've been able to pull off the mosfet: ST w637 Malaysia p60n03 I've been able to figure out that the original manufacturer was sgs-thomson however I can't seem to find any other info about it. Or what I can use for a replacement. I've been searching google for the past 2 hours and haven't found...

Re: Howto vid: stop cats from pissing on your stuff

They completely ignore my "NO RACOONS!" sign. I don't understand their lack of respect... :? Put up a sign that says "no shirt, no shoes, no service" or how about "you must be this tall to dine here", that should do the trick. You'll enjoy this overcomplicated fix ... ...

Re: 23 Mph with RC-10

The other day I clocked my 17x2 brushed at 34 with a 6 cell 5100mah nimh and a 2.25 stealth. 81/19 gearing. Taking it on loose dirt isn't very fun though. Unless you just want to kick up an ass load of dirt. It'll do wheel stands on asphalt so long as it hooks. Half the time it breaks loose.

Re: gold pan on-road?

Tomorrow or tuesday I'm going to try to swing by my LHS to see about fitting on road wheels on my gold pan. I've been looking into some of the tamiya wheels and tires and *fingers crossed* I'll be able to find something that will be easily adaptable.

foam tires?

I've seen a few cars that are on the original rc10 wheels that have foam tires on them. I'm assuming they're an on road tire. Does anyone know what they're off of and where I can get them?

Re: ko propo ex 5 transmitter question

My next question then. Is there a specific receiver I need as a replacement? I have a sneaking suspicion that the receiver gave up the ghost.

ko propo ex 5 transmitter question

The receiver that originally came with my ex 5 transmitter had the antenna break off during a wreck :( tried soldering it back on and i'm only getting 30 to 50 feet of range now. Tried hooking up a different receiver which was completely non-responsive when I use my ex 5 tx. when I use another tx th...

Re: My old-new gold tub project...

Ether of the hubs work, just one you'll need different bearings for the outside. No they don't. I just ruined a set of hubs with two different sized bearings because I had to drill them out. If you're following this setup make sure to get the carriers with the same size inner and outer bearings. pa...

Re: lag in a manual speed control

I noticed something else today while taking a look at the problem again.

When I unplug the steering servo the throttle seems just fine. plug it back in and it all goes haywire.

Re: lag in a manual speed control

The car never gets farther than 10 feet away. The receiver is new so I don't think the antenna is a problem. fresh batteries in the transmitter.

Hmmm I think it may just be time to give up on the manual controller...

lag in a manual speed control

So messing around with my old msc and started having an issue. basically I hit the throttle and the car drives off. I let go of the throttle and the car keeps on driving for a good 5 seconds. the steering servo also seems to wig out a bit when this happens. I can't seem to replicate the issue with b...
