Re: i've got to tell somebody....
Congratulations!!! We had our #2 (and last) just 6 weeks ago today! So far, so good! We almost didn't make it to the hospital in time! She's TOTALLY different than our first; much more laid back! I/We couldn't keep from telling anyone either! We tried for 5 years with the first so we were EC...

Dangit, y'all! I wanna build one now!
Like I need another project: of the 7 current "toys" only one is drivable. It still lacks a painted body and some knick knack details...

Re: The white Xmas dream......
Maybe I need to do a house swap with someone over there. That way a Canadian/American family could see what it's like to have a summer Xmas in Australia. It's certainly not all bad, I even have a good r/c collection to peruse through too ;-) Heck, they wouldn't have to go down under for a summer Ch...

Re: shock o-ring options?
Silicone is the general consensus... I believe it has something to do with the silicone shock oil causes the silicone o-rings to swell slightly...? That's what I've heard but I may be off base. Someone straighten me out if I'm wrong! I also think a hardened shock shaft will be mucho beneficial; bett...

Re: rc18t diff issues
About the only other thing I could think of is if the spring for the diff is new, you're supposed to compress it a few times with a pair of pliers or whatever to get the spring steel to "set"; springs will sag after "working" if they are new so this is to get it closer to normal ...

I'm guessing they were going for direct drive...??? The slipper was cranked ALL the way down on it as well... Along with the slipper pad that wasn't seated correctly between the plates so it is kinda iffy now  I've got it slightly compressed to try to flatten it back out. Also: what is t...

Hmmmm... wonder why this diff isn't very smooth
So, I decided to bust into the Stealth in one of the 10Ts I recently purchased. When the truck first arrived I of course gave it a once-over and grabbed the spur to see how the diff felt. Well, it wasn't real promising so I put the whole thing away for a bit. Popped it open tonight to see this: http...

Re: so, I am going to race this thing...
Swaybars would probably help too. They help to control roll without having to make the suspension super stiff.
And maybe an almost slick tire to help attain some slide-action as opposed to the tread slipping to a degree and then suddenly catching and throwing the thing into traction roll.

Re: Any interest in the original style short RC10 rear arms?
I'd be in for at least 2 sets of outdrives and a couple of the diff gears!! Not that that is a whole lot but it all adds up!

Just stumbled upon this thread: FREAKING AWESOME!! My brother had a Blackfoot and I loved that thing! I wanted a Monster Beetle but never got around to purchasing one... :( This thing is so sick; I can't even imagine what the "finished" (if there ever is such thing) product will be like!!!...

Dragging up the past! Here's my contribution: http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=28681 I didn't have much of a chance to run it BITD. I think I raced it a whole 3 times before my local track folded and it went up in my closet. I'm getting her back in running shape just so I can h...

Re: SFC K RC 10 project
Very good score for $50! Transmissions in the chassis are 6 gear; the three seperate black case transmissions are Stealth based; now whether they're the first gen or subsequent variants I can't say as I'm lost after the first run of those transmissions! Looks like you have lots to keep you bus...
