Re: optima mid se shock oil
I had that in mind in terms of the 30wt. oil figured it was the safest bet other than purchasing ultra scarce 25-year old silicone oil. Everything looks ok, but I might just try to change out the o-rings. I wonder if these new style ones are the same size: https://www.ebay.com/itm/KYOW5184-05-Kyosho...

optima mid se shock oil
After getting my optima mid off the cabinet last weekend for some backyard track action, I noticed that one of the rear shocks became unscrewed and leaked out all of the remaining shock oil. I was wondering if there is comparable shock oil to the vintage 1951 (kyosho medium viscosity oil) that will ...

Re: RC10GT & modern starter boxes?
Fired her up for the first time since 2003/2004 using the LRP blue competition starter box with just a 2s lipo. Had to use my os #8 glow plug I had laying around new in package. She is almost ready to make bacon on the beach!!

Re: Kyosho turbo scorpion re-release
I have never driven any of the 2wd vintage buggy series besides the ultima pro. You might want to scoop one up because kyosho has only produced one line of these once they are gone they are gone.

Re: I'd love a Clodbuster one day.....
I recently picked up some parts trucks and a sassy chassis and finally got down to building one. Like everyone says--you have to have one of these. They are way too much fun. Something about the 4 wheel steering multiplies the fun factor. Half the fun was designing and fabricating my own suspension...

Re: RC10GT & modern starter boxes?
Hey, thanks for the reply. I just ordered an LRP - 37101 Competition Starter box and yes the truck has the anodized blue chassis.I will report back if it works or if the slot on the chassis needs to be extended/widened. If the engine does not turn or when the engine does eventually wear out is it pr...

RC10GT & modern starter boxes?
Hello, after selling my rc10gt to my Stepfather, over 12-years ago, I decided to buy it back from him. The pull start is no good and I would like to use a modern starter box, but can not confirm that any will work with this older truck. It is using the .15 engine and came as a ready-set back in 2002...

Turbo Optima front axles replacements
Hello, it has been awhile. I recently noticed, on my turbo optima, my front axles(called swing shafts in the manual) are slightly bent. I am sure this question has been asked a million times but does anyone know of replacement ones that will work from other Kyosho model vehicles?
