Re: Storm 2000 wheels
as others have mentioned, for the fronts, the simplest thing to do is get bearings with a 4mm inner and probably 10mm outer, look for front truck rims that use bearings and find out what size bearings they take so you know the outer diameter to get. you'd want rims with a bit of offset, maybe someth...

Nice one Adam
with the comment about the thinner battery being needed, are you saying that the shorty you have in the car in the photos wouldnt fit in the car if the battery was mounted in the perpendicular position?

Re: My Ultima rere racer
I wasn't wheeling the Ultima in the video. It was a younger more capable A driver. I'd call myself a b average and equal to the guy running the 22-4. It really is on rails. The back end wags the tail a bit haven't gotten to sorting that out. Using the stock gold spring in the back. Could go a tad s...

Re: My Ultima rere racer
Also forgot to mention that another way to widen the front end is to use Mr Ed's designed front bulkhead from shapeways

Re: My Ultima rere racer
nice one mate, i commented in the other thread about how to fit 2.2 inch wheels to an ultima, I have done a very similar thing as you, but i used Optima parts, which adds 5 degrees of caster which i found helped the buggy turn a lot better and widens the front end and i had to do the same as you and...

Re: 2.2 wheels on Ultima rere
Been messing with my Ultima again. Was able to fit a Traxxas Bandit front end on very easily without having to butcher any parts in the chassis. https://photos.app.goo.gl/sEYKdSQ2BQzeyY7Z7 Now I'm full hex and track width is about 9-3/4" with losi wheels. I ended up doing a similar thing but u...

Re: 2.2 wheels on Ultima rere
Mini E-revo rims are perfect on the rear (Traxxas 7171), they have the same offset as the scorpion ones, i also tried the jconcepts rulux (3333B) ones and they work just as well

Re: My Ultima rere racer
Built this ultima last winter for some vintage racing at my LHS Trains and Lanes in Easton PA. We race on grey carpet indoors during the winter season. I thought the gear diff and available sway bars would make a good racer. After I first got it together I wasn't happy with the performance and need...

Thanks Cas22!! Also I know its been spoken about in here but I haven't actually seen anyone state it exactly. Can anyone confirm that when running the 32 tooth idler, that the 18 tooth pinion fits using the one of the standard motor mount holes with no modification? Cheers Also if I wanted to run s...
