Re: 3D Sets Landy Build

I built one of the 3dsets Jeeps for a friend of mine, but I went and bulletproofed it with axial axles and a metal planetary transmission, it ended up pretty nice. I just couldn't send it across the country with a drivetrain he couldn't buy parts for :) I was impressed by the work they put in the de...

Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread

How's this? First print in over 6 months.. wiped the bed down plugged the card in, pressed print. https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/losi-mini-jrxt-chassis-skirts it is a quick toss together, I would recommend printing on fine settings I could probably beef them up somewhat and add some resistance...

Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread

It would be real easy to come up with a flat pattern to cut out of a sheet of lexan or even a plastic bubble from a disposable package and fold it into the correct shape. You could even just print it out on a normal printer and just temporarily glue it to the lexan with rubber cement or something.

Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread

Working on a rough draft of some sideskirts, is a bit difficult with my pattern in this condition lol I think they will be thicker than stock when I have them ready, printing them at .5mm and then scaling it down would be a pain. this is just a rough modeling, trying to get the angles worked out fro...

Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread

finally got some time to do some measuring and modeling, I am actually surprised how close the chassis are together, I was only measuring the new chassis shown in red, I copied the model for my no cutout jrxt chassis and layed it over the rough model of the new chassis and width and length is almost...

Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread

Ahh I see, I guess my design was a little more studious

as for the sideguards I will work up some designs this weekend I think, going to grab a bottle of ca debonder tomorrow to work on ungluing 57s tires. The tires seem undersized to me...

Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread

2157 just arrived, time to get to work. lol I am amazed I got so close on the dimensions, the chassis is almost perfectly right right length but the flat sides are a bit longer that what I ended up with. This could be my error or it could be the designers that shrunk the design for the mini jrxt adj...

Re: Today's build

That losi definitely looks a bit sad, looks to be the bones of a pro with some randomness on it, rare to see one with a mechanical fire starter on it :)

I could donate some parts for it if you want.

Re: RC16? Because I like Mini Scale...

i apologize, all the modeling between this and the losi mini kinda burnt me out. the big issue i had working up a trans was finding a diff small enough to not raise the outputs too high above the chassis, was like dropping a gt diff in an original stealth. I very much was trying to stick as close to...

Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread

Starting working on assembling the mini LXT. Going to need to rework the front and rear hubs as there isn't enough meat on them to be durable at the ball stud holes. But its coming out pretty good. I have an idea for the rear axles, hopfully the lhs has some of the parts i need. Also seems that the...

Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread

uh oh, how did I get here again? I burnt myself out there pretty good beating myself up trying to figure out a transmission for my mini rc10. i have seen the new jrxt but lack the funds for one, i have been checking on chassis availability nearly every other day and once I can get a couple I plan to...

Re: RC16? Because I like Mini Scale...

No biggie man, the old 6 gear is a funky size to try to make work, It just may end up without a diff as it would be quite easy to just use a series of pinions of appropriate sizes to replicate it.
