Re: #6002 - RC10 Worlds Car Kit

I jumped on one of these when I saw that Tower wasn't carrying them anymore and got one from Stormer for $200. It's been a long time since I've built a kit, but it went together pretty good. My only issue was the top shaft like others have mentioned. Mine doesn't let the slipper plate rub on the mot...

Re: Another new Canadian

Sorry about bringing this back from the dead, but I think I solved my dillema as to what I should do with my old Worlds car that has never been run. I just finished putting together a rere Worlds car to run as well as keep the original one company on the shelf. Now I just need to get a box art body ...

Re: Old Kyosho, what is it?

I never would have put it together if I hadn't found this forum, thanks guys. The rear diff will need a rebuild I think, it slips pretty bad, and the idler in the transmission looked pretty worn too. I might have to throe some electrics in it this summer and see how it drives.

Re: Old Kyosho, what is it?

The steering rods are most likely Kyosho - but the camber links at the back could be AE. Can You get a better picture from the back. It´s a nice buggy with a rare chassis, You should hang on to it. You can allways get one of the re-re RC10´s :D The steering links look like the ones in the pictures ...

Re: Old Kyosho, what is it?

I just got home from work and had another look at it. It has u joints front and rear. The chassis is a composite or graphite one of some sort. The AE shocks makes sense, as there was also part of an RC 10 in the bag. I don't know why I didn't recognize the shocks, I was kinda hoping I could find eno...

Old Kyosho, what is it?

I have an old Kyosho buggy that was given to me mostly disassembled in a shopping bag a bunch of years ago, and after looking at some of the builds on here, I thought I would have a look at it and see how much was missing. Turns out it is mostly complete, other than a bunch of missing screws. Someon...

Re: 25 YEARS OF THE RC10 (See page 1)

Wow, this is a great thread, thanks for putting all the info together for us. I came to this site to try to find out how much a worlds car is worth so I could sell it, now I want to put it back on the shelf and buy the new re re coming out to play with. Kristian Edit: I just dug out the box from my ...

Re: Another new Canadian

Here are a couple more pictures of it. I was thinking of selling a few of my old ones at a garage sale, but I figured it wouldn't be right for this one. http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y282/turbo_bird/RC/IMG_20140215_122627.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y282/turbo_bird/RC/IMG_20140215_122709...

Re: Another new Canadian

Looks like an easy clean up 8) Flip that spur over too  If it's backwards, its been that way since new. It's a worlds car that has never been run. I bought it just as it sits about 15 years ago, and it's been sitting g on a shelf ever since. Unfortunately the guy that put it together paint...

Re: Another new Canadian

Here's the one that got me to sign up here. Crappy cell phone pic, I'll have to set up to do some decent pics one of these days. Another expensive and time consuming hobby.

Re: Another new Canadian

Sell it to me! Welcome, lots of crazy Canucks here and really great people here. Trust me - once you start down the dark path of modern RC, forever will it dominate your wallet  Oh I know. I've only been away from RC for about five years. Before that I worked at my local hobby store ...

Re: Another new Canadian

I didn't realize that there were other collectors out there. Welcome Kristian! If you didn't realize it before, you'll definitely realize it soon. Your toes might be wet now, but be careful not to get in over your head. What made me sign up was reading about the rerelease of the worlds car on a web...

Another new Canadian

Hi everybody from the frozen north. Just sort of dipping my toes in the hobby stuff again, now that my kids are starting to pull my old cars down from the shelves and pushing them around the house. Cool to see a forum for the old school AE stuff out there, I have a few beaters and a shelf queen in m...
