Re: Dumb Facebook newb questions
I have a friend who works counter terrorism , he's not a door kicker on the front line but from what little he will talk about it he goes through captured computers to find out what they are up to , nobody in his family are on Facebook :!: He says it's the best and quickest way to get your identity ...

Re: Dadio's 3D Printing Stuff
Very Very pleased with the Yokomo YZ-834b Dogfighter gearbox I just got back from Shapeways :D It's spot on , even mates with its original other halves ! Going up on my Dadio Designs Shapeways shop today . 107_2410.JPG 107_2411.JPG 107_2412.JPG These next two show the original gearbox mated up to th...

Re: RC10Talk community build -winner- (only click if you don’t want to watch the boring Facebook live video)
So pleased it went to a regular contributor, just as well it's not me, I'd only run it and ruin it.

Re: Vintage Nylon Parts Durability
Looked in depth at this a while ago , warm water is faster 4-6 hours , cold water 24 hours , best not to boil as they may warp , pretty much all nylons are the same in this respect , the thicker the part the longer you soak as it takes time to fully penetrate , only instance where it won't help is i...

Re: Vintage Nylon Parts Durability
Warming the water is best but it's still 4-6 hours , boiling for hours would still be needed and 5min boiling is worthless , the only plastics that require boiling for just minuites are the PB Mini Mustang / Maxima arms and it's not for hydration but to de-stress the plastic, it's probably where the...

Re: Ideal vintage 2wd wheelbase
The racing rules on size probably led to the size 1/10 cars became but originally they were scale models , all the original Tamiya offerings were anyway so the length and width were just copied not dictated by a set of racing rules.

Re: Resale profit margin
No, I'm not here to make money, more to see old cars back on the track, I do make a little money, this month I got a whole $50 from Shapeways.
But it usually goes straight back in my hobby fund.

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread

Re: PB ECO - Reliving my yuff.
The tires in the picture are Hotshot pin spikes and you can still get them new , if not then for the shelf you can pack them with foam inside to restore the shape .

Re: PB ECO - Reliving my yuff.
Oops ! Well pin spikes are a good fit , I use them on my Mini Mustang . On a different note the fibre glass under chassis plate on yours is just like mine ,it's sectioned out rather that a complete plate , is that an Eco part ? Most seem to have the compete plate except of course the Maxima , I'm ju...

Re: Marui Hunter - My first buggy... Found one to restore :-) - and a Galaxy RS too :)
When I restored my PB Mini Mustang my friend lent me some vintage Hot Shot Oval block tires and wheels to test it out with , one 4500 Lipo later running on road and the those tires were almost done , my memory of Oval Block tires was they lasted forever but not so much when the rubber is 30+ years o...
