Re: Future innovations in RC racing (2022 and beyond)
I already see 3d printing as the affordable future of Vintage RC Racing , as parts become scarce they become expensive and race cars become shelf queen's , 3d printed parts can put them back on track where they were designed to be .

Re: Hirobo Bearcat SS - Let's start something else...
I don't know if it helps but all the shafts on the Zerda have machined flat areas for set screws to locate , maybe a burr is catching on the flat area stopping the shafts coming out .

Re: Bormac's Nichimo Midships 443 WDS - An unexpected project
At the front of the cage maybe 20-25mm from front is a cross piece with screws in it, you could hide a joint there that might make it just short enough for commercial printing, it would also be away from most roll over stress.

Re: Cheap but good dual O-Ring shocks
Just tried Fastrax shocks and they are really nice threaded body shocks with double O rings and double PTFE guides , excellent value .

Re: My Yokomo YZ-834b Restoration
It's virtually impossible to put a price on but between £375 and £575 depending on the day could go higher, if you put £600 buy it now on eBay it might go or sit there forever .

Kydex is easy and fun , you can score it with a Stanley knife then bend along the score to crack it like Lexan .

Re: Technology "Firsts" in the RC industry (with pictures)
Nice thread idea. :D I'll throw in the SG Racing (Tag Racing ) Coyote for being the first for two things. Firstly saddle pack battery's in a buggy, and secondly the first centre line transmission 4wd with just a spur on the centre prop shaft and two bevel geared diffs. Pretty sure it's the first and...

Re: Dadio's 3D Printing Stuff
Started on the PB Mini Mustang Chassis , not finished yet as I'm starting with the left side and only the elements that are mirrored on the other side , no motor hole yet but my brain just turned to mush so it's time to stop . Yesterday I also drew up and test printed the motor plate , then adjusted...

Re: Hirobo Bearcat SS - Let's start something else...
It can be frustrating trying to measure warped/shrunk parts and trying to determine if something is meant to be 25mm 25.25mm or 25.5mm , the solution I use a fair bit is to make 3mm holes 3.5mm instead , this not only allows for hole shrinkage in 3d printing but gives you a little wiggle room as wel...
