Re: Just purchased two NOS RC10s

That car should make a perfectly suitable runner. The re-released RC10 parts will fit the vintage cars - all critical dimensions are the same. The only exception that comes to mind are the rear arm inner hinge pins - the re-re ones are too short to fit the vintage arms. This is true for both the &qu...

Re: RC10 Cadillac A-Stamp Restore Attempt

That's a nice collection of spares although I have no idea what's in the two mystery bags. Seeing that bag of bearings brings back memories. I recall that AE bearing sets were always very expensive. Today, I buy bearings from Avid. You're about to embark on a pass-time that I've grown to enjoy. I li...

Re: Dadio's 3D Printing Stuff

I have to say, Dadio, for someone who was completely new to 3D modeling and printing just a few days ago, you appear to be picking this up rather quickly. Those parts shown above are VERY nice!! 8)

I'm more than a little jealous. :D

Re: Matteo's RC Movies

The view at 2:13 could just be out of a Mitsubishi full-scale, official commercial. I had the same reaction. Maybe if Mitsubishi would hire Matteo to film their commercials, they'd sell a few more cars. Still, as good as Matteo is at crafting these little masterpieces (and he is very good), it's th...

Re: Nix91 - Rick Hohwart replica

I agree, the car looks great! It's a shame about the body. Just remember, with these replica builds, it's virtually impossible to achieve absolute perfection but I think you've come very close. 8) I guess if it were mine, I'd go ahead and finish the body and use it as a placeholder until something b...

Re: intresting rc10 in a trade deal today

Well, I guess you could cut them down. Why are they so wide? I don't recall even 1/8th scale road cars having wheels that wide.

Reminds me of this:

Re: Green parts: not just for ball cups anymore

If it's not discontinued parts, it's parts molded in ugly colors.
Do you think AE is trying to tell us something?
... like "Will you old farts please stop living in the past and learn to love our new stuff?".

Re: Green parts: not just for ball cups anymore

Curious to those who know about making this stuff, is there a reason they are not making them white, is this a cost thing? Seems like it would not be that hard. I had thought it was the molder doing a poor job cleaning the hoppers and injection equipment between shots. However, if poor maintenance ...

Just add water...

A brief pop-up shower this afternoon left the track a little wetter than I'd expected. However, traction was exceptional and a good time was had by all. Even managed to carry the front wheels through certain sections - and that never happens. Seems the secret to hooking-up on this reddish stuff the ...

Re: WOIN RC10 "new" build...

Now there's some black 'n gold goodness right there. Looks great Nomad. 8) Looking at the rear shocks, I've noticed there's ample clearance between the springs and the shock bodies. I have a set of re-re worlds shocks and the springs rub the threaded part of the body - not good. I used to run univer...

Re: RC10 Chassis Sale

Yeah I got three boxes of stuff. 6 chassis, 14 1.02 shock sets, 6 sets of 1.32 blue bodies and a box full of GT stuff. Gotta get it while you can, it will be gone soon. They don’t even sell the damn shock rebuilds anymore and you have to know those are a hot seller. I've ordered a few things -- pro...

Re: Yo-clone-oh Dogfighter

Amazing, Dadio, simply amazing. You have mastered the art of 3D print, that's for sure.
Please send me a PM if I can assist with fabrication of the metal parts - especially the roll-over bar.
