Re: My first RC10 Gold pan -- PLEASE tell me what I've got

Some esc will have controls that can make up for the lack of a slipper clutch and can be made to be more gentle then a vintage brushed setup. The same can be said about several newer brushed models. Several that were designed with crawlers in mind are loaded with features. Even many of the better v...

Re: Is there a comprehensive list of tires that fit the "jelly bean" wheels?

You did a great job on the cleanup of that car. It looks pretty fantastic.

Re: Making a carbon fiber chassis the novice way

The weather is getting warm enough again to start working towards a layup. I am working towards a fiberglass mold, but also trying to learn what is involved in making carbon fiber. I want to have at least a couple of mm thickness for my mold, even if I Ian going to add reinforcement after my initial...

Re: Making a carbon fiber chassis the novice way

I totally figured I’d see it cut from cf sheet…back in the day when cf was new to the scene I had a rc10 that was converted to a stadium truck before the st came out and it ran a flat pan made from cf sheet…it looked somewhat similar to the carpet racers back in the day…man was that thing quick! Wa...

Re: Team Associated B4 +8mm Chassis (performance benefits?)

I am building a used RC10B4 and have the option of using the original chassis or the +8mm chassis which was included as an extra. The body I currently have fits the smaller "original" chassis better, which is why I want to keep the shorter chassis. Still, I heard that the longer +8mm chas...

Re: Can I use spare Tamiya "O" rings, on a RC10B3/B4 top loaded shock?

Have any of you used standard Tamiya red "O" rings in a Team Associated top-loaded shock assembly for a "vintage RC10 B3 or RC10B4" shock? I believe the shaft is 3mm in diameter which is slightly bigger/thicker than a standard Tamiya shock shaft. The reason is that I have a lot ...

Re: Turnbuckle Woes

Hi all. I am looking for a bit of advice. I am in Germany trying to find a turnbuckle set (including balls and cups) for my Cadillac RC10, but having a real tough time finding the 4-40 set here (or it is super expensive if so). I can get a lot of AE parts, turnbuckles, etc, but aren't they latest R...

Re: Solution to reduce play in the dogbone cup of my RC10B4? Can you help?

Measure the OD of the drive and get a small length of brass or aluminum pipe you can tightly fit over the outdrive. Use a dremel to slot it just enough to allow for free movement of the dogbone. That might help out.

Re: Solution to reduce play in the dogbone cup of my RC10B4? Can you help?

So if you're the earlier B4, that should be 7667 and 7668 replacement outdrives. If you're the later B4 with the metric outdrive bearings, it should be the 9852 outdrive set... if you change your mind and are willing to get replacement parts. Given that the parts are still available at list prices ...

Re: What to do with an RC10 Graphite chassis with gold guard?

It's a great piece to have. I've been interested in one to learn how to repair and resurface carbon fiber. it could look quote nice to just polish up the surface and display it as is. No reason to rush into a build. Build it when you get the parts. Look for parts over time and bid prices you can aff...

Re: Help finding plastic TC shock parts

Thank you so much ! The shocks are Teflon ones that came with team car. I’m rebuilding the shocks and bought the 6440 rebuild kit you said. When taking the old parts out, I had to use quite a bit of force and the parts are now cracked. On another note, do you know if wheels with this description wo...
