Re: Blasphemous T2 retro racer
I have found that on the super high traction tracks that I'm on now, the lower the CG the faster the overall corner speed. Companies weren't playing with axle height adjustments BITD either and they play a big part of corner speed on modern surfaces IMO

Re: Blasphemous T2 retro racer
Why wouldn't one make a lower CG tower and remove the lower shocks, thus mounting the shocks directly to the arm? You already tweaked the front. Great question! That was one of my ideas, the only real downside is designing the tower and having it cut etc. Ultimately I'm going to wait until I have t...

Re: DS tires F1 vs Associated rubber tires
I know with the DS tires I have an issue with the rear sidewalls rubbing on the suspension but they are pretty soft and offer pretty good traction on asphalt, but seem to wear pretty fast. Also, the supplied front foams are too soft in my opinion.
Not sure if the F104 tires fix any of that.

Re: DS tires F1 vs Associated rubber tires
I was wondering if one was a tight fit or not.JosephS wrote: ↑Wed Oct 02, 2024 10:55 pmThe f1 tires are supposed to fit DS wheels. Should work the other way as welljuicedcoupe wrote: ↑Wed Oct 02, 2024 5:10 pm So...
I was thinking of buying some pan car wheels that fit the F1 tires. Do the DS tires fit?
Like how you can put a 2.1 tire on a 2.2 wheel but not the other way.

Re: DS tires F1 vs Associated rubber tires
F104 tires much more superior and resilient compared to the DS stock tires, they do require a break in period and conditioning helps but not required and for competition heat does help also. Tuck the bead behind wheel lip massage tire and foam and use a metal tip on your choice of glue be patient an...

Re: Toy grade 27Mhz am and Hobby Grade 27 Mhz am
Many times, toy grade transmitters and receivers are programed different.
For instance, X-Mods. The crystals work with all 27mhz AM radios, but the transmitters aren't compatible with hobby grade receivers.

Re: Toy grade 27Mhz am and Hobby Grade 27 Mhz am
I've once driven a proportional Nikko (1:14 evolution series) with a hobby transmitter, and that went well. The other way around worked too. Another try with a non proportional Nikko buggy and a hobby transmitter gave me OK throttle, but steering trim was waaaay out of range of the trim switches on ...

Hi, from Long Beach CA
Just really starting getting into RC cars even though I bought my first RC10 back in the 90s. It was a bucket case I bought used from my cousins... It was a love hate relationship that ended with it stored in a closet. And that was the end of RC cars for then. Recently purchased an Arrma 8S that got...

Re: Hex axle option
For anyone curious. I did one block using a drill bit as out lined and was unhappy with the fit, though it did fit and work. I tried a 10mm reamer next. I will confirm using a 10mm reamer on steering block will not work. It removes too much material from the rear of the carrier to seat the metric b...
