Re: Forum News & Discussion

Alright, after working on the board for over 7 hours straight, everything has been updated. I still have a bunch to do but it's currently 8:00am, and I'm off to bed. I'll work on it some more later this evening. It's funny how after all that work, it looks like I did nothing at all... Did the skin ...

Re: Forum News & Discussion

It's funny how after all that work, it looks like I did nothing at all... Forest for the trees... Noticeable difference in appearance without looking like a whole new theme. Most importantly... the site and pages loads a LOT faster than before. I give it two thumbs up! I kept thinking of the ...

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - August 2023 ** - Winner - juicedcoupe

Dinglem scared everyone away. Right now he is probably just waiting for the Loctite to dry on an AYK prototype raced by Jesus in the Olympics. This is my original Top Cat I bought new and re-acquired recently. I present it not as a "great build", but as a great experience- i.e. finding and...

Re: Attaching Steering Servos to a rc10 pan chassis

The ultimate Velcro is 3M Dual Lock. It locks down solid with minimal twist and movement.

Re: Bored? Come To The Chit / Chat Thread

Wow! I can't believe you remember about that. I have a serious problem with never being able to finish any R/C project I start. When I began that project nearly 3 years ago, I promised myself I wouldn't do anything else until it was finished. I was completely obsessed with it for something l...

Re: Attaching Steering Servos to a rc10 pan chassis

One problem that you may run into is clearance between the bellcranks and the chassis. The shape of B2 bellcranks is a little bulkier than other types.

Re: Attaching Steering Servos to a rc10 pan chassis

If you have an idea of how you want it positioned I might be able to 3D print you a mount that uses existing chassis holes.

Re: Attaching Steering Servos to a rc10 pan chassis

If you have an idea of how you want it positioned I might be able to 3D print you a mount that uses existing chassis holes. Since it's for an on-road application, perhaps a mini servo could be used as well. Maybe something as simple as a plate that attaches to the chassis, with new transverse holes...

Re: Attaching Steering Servos to a rc10 pan chassis

I have attached servo's with servo tape to my on road and off road chassis without issue.
I also attach my battery cups with it.
Using 3M VHB tape currently.

What model number are you using? I see some pretty large price disparities on Amazon based on model numb...

RC10B4 Blue Anodized Project

This project started with a new partially assembled RC10B4. This could be the stealthiest RC10 of all time. Except for the shocks, this is as blacked out as a buggy can be! I came across blue anodized suspension arms for the B4 (not sure who the maker was) and was intrigued by the idea of adding som...

Re: Attaching Steering Servos to a rc10 pan chassis

A plastic flat plate could be used that attached in front and behind the servo using existing chassis servo holes. It could have countersink holes to the sides that allow using standard servo mount blocks. Or the plate could have brackets that fit around the servo mount flanges and a top strap to ho...

RC10 Goldpan ESC advice

Hi all, New member here in the Indy area. Mine is a classic "I found our childhood cars in the basement" story. Got the DS and T2 up and running with updated transmiter/receivers ("They don't have crystals anymore?!"). 25 years later and these are still fun, and my boys are havin...

Hello from Iowa

Hello all, I’ve been lurking here for quite a while and finally thought it’s time to join. This hobby started for me in the early 90’s with a Traxxas Hawk 2, racing and upgrading that truck to Blue Eagle specs hooked me for life. S&K Racing was in my hometown at that point in time, they used to ...
