Re: SilverTriple's printing stuff...
I've heard good things about the Kingroon from a guy on RCGroups who raves about his and he also has other printers to choose from . I'll also second the recommendation for the Orbiter , I have one fitted direct to a Dragon hot end on my Ender 5 on my own custom mount and it's worked perfectly and i...

Re: SilverTriple's printing stuff...
One more consideration (and the reason my ender 5 plus remains open air) is that once enclosed it becomes less useful for pla, you would ideally want an easily removable enclosure for multi materials. Also, warping on those said materials is insane so while it seems like a good idea, I would really ...

Re: SilverTriple's printing stuff...
My Ender 5 is enclosed by mostly slotting foam craft board into the printers frame , only the top is larger to accommodate the top beam parts , the front and top are removable for low temp filaments but it's generally only a high temp machine , I don't even have the part cooling fan fitted most of t...

Re: 3dSets Sandy beach buggy
Still lacking proper tires and the rear shocks are too long but it's mostly complete. Need to print the taillights and then I can revisit the transmission and see if I can make it a little more efficient

Re: Sand Rover, Tamiya's unlovable child

Re: Sand Rover, Tamiya's unlovable child
Metal part much better, looking at what happens to the shock towers on Marui Hunter/Galaxys, it's a good things. You may also think about reinforcing the two pillars where this is fixed, because the right may be a weak point compared to the left side where the motor plate will do the job to help it...

Re: SilverTriple's printing stuff...
That's really impressive Mark  ,even more considering you only just got the printer ! To me the support marks on one side are acceptable , what resin are you using ? If you get a failure you may experiment with painting a thin smoothing coat of resin on and then curing again , it may help a b...

Re: SilverTriple's printing stuff...
Your getting fantastic results Mark :!: Pity really as I was really looking forward to your moulded tire project :( you do now have an imperfect printed tire that you could experiment on surface treatment now though . This is looking very promising , keep it up . I still intend to try to do molding...

Re: Again another Marui project : Super Wheelie and Big Bear!
I think you have to think of them as a reasonable price and no longer a limited supply, in short you can drive like it's the 80s again and when they fail buy another set . Very good point, @ Dadio , I'll add the idle gear separately on shapeways as well, as they will be the weak point with the set....

Re: Marui Samurai 4WD - Another SilverTriple's journey...
If your running printed wheels as well there's more potential for balance problems , I got obsessed for a while designing and 3d printing spinning tops with turbines in them , looked like UFO's , idea being that the turbine would draw air in the top and out the bottom to give an air cushion underne...
