Re: 1/5 RC10 - RC5 Team Build
Made some more progress on the design in the last couple of days. My goal is to try to model 3 parts a day which has my finishing in about two weeks. I've got the front and rear bulkheads and shock towers as well as the rear hub/axle assembly. Chassis Moc-Up 2.jpeg Chassis Moc-Up 3.jpeg I also got a...

DIY rocking horse manure
I spent a ludicrous amount of time today making one piece of rocking horse manure , I'm missing one diff outdrive for a mini Mustang so I copied one on the mill and lath in O1 tool steel , I still need to harden it but I wanted to test fit it first , its an exact copy except instead of using an 8BA ...

Re: DIY rocking horse manure
Just out of curiosity, how do you treat the part to harden it? I have no room to add a lathe somewhere currently, but seeing this make me think about it in my next tool investments (priority at this stage is about an injection press, just because I would be able to do so much things I can't do righ...

Re: Dadio's 3D Printing Stuff
Have you ever experienced any printing issues with different nozzles? I tried a steel nozzle for wear resistance and I think it affected nozzle heating and layer bonding significantly. Adjusting nozzle temperature had minor improvement. After changing back to brass, my part strength is back to prev...

Re: Taiyo Jet Racer ( Tyco Super Turbo Hopper )
Few random ones, the front differential has perfect gears, no stripping or any signs of wear. It has some sort of white grease in it. The grease does seem abit caked though so I will need to remove the old stuff and apply new stuff. The main gearbox at the back doesnt open easily. The wheels are pre...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
New 3D Printer. Sovol SV06 Plus. Hopefully this gives me less headaches than my knockoff Ender3. Bit bigger, can run a lot hotter so i can do Nylon, and has a lot better motion system and interface. Bonus is It auto levels the bed.

a thread for BambuLab machines
I gave away almost all my old printers, got rid of 6 of the 8. I will keep my Ender 5 plus only because of the volume. After my first print with the X1C I was sold. It just works. That said, I have had some odd things with the machines. For one, the toolhead LED seems to stay on, night and day. Whil...

Re: a thread for BambuLab machines
I have a Matterhackers Pulse which is a prusa i3 based printer and never have liked it. It was by far the most expensive machine I bought at almost $1500 5 years ago. Never has printed anything I would consider quality. That soured me on the design. My friend has a prusa model from the same era and ...

Re: GoMachV’s 3d printing thread
Just finishing this one up, scaled a rc12e to half size, so 1/24. Should fit a slot car body well. Made a simple tool to trim my foams. Need to make a lathe next lol.

Re: Again another Marui project : Super Wheelie and Big Bear!
Last night, I printed a dashboard for a CJ-7 bodyshell... I wanted to check it properly : I have one bodyshell to repair in this specific area while another will require a dashboard because it has none. https://i.imgur.com/G5aJ3Dp.jpg The result is actually better than what I expected (Printed with...

Re: Graupner/Mugen Mercury CAD model...
So the middle diff has a slipper clutch built in so it acts a bit like the Samurai or CAT transmission? Very nice work so far . It looks like. That being said, I'm not sure t actually works. There is 4 spring washers in the setup. there is 2 friction washers, but one of them is enclosed between two...
