Re: Tyco Bandit build on a budget thread
Ok I lied. The esc issue started really bugging me, and two more $3 escs showed up yesterday. No idea when or why I bought them, but might as well use one. Got it soldered together, and it seems to have fixed the issue. Then I made a custom rear bumper out of some aluminum tubing. I'm sure I'll mana...

Re: .12 Nitro Monster Beetle
This thing is even cooler than I thought it would be. I'd be so confused if I saw a monster beetle making sweet nitro noises.

Re: Tyco Bandit/Tamiya King Cab RCCA Magazine Tribute almost done!
It's amazing! I love that you have a king cab replica in the background too. I think the bandit is plenty fast as is. I personally wouldn't chance running brushless in one.

Re: Lexan Body Trimming - Scissors or Sharp Blade?
It's a complete and total pain in the *ss. And if anyone says, "oh, I enjoy trimming and fitting a lexan body shell." they are full of it. I enjoy one perfectly fitted (of which, I have none ), but the process is horsesh*t!!! IMO. Bonus points if the body is rare and vintage. It be l...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Installed a Panda Parts rear stabilizer on my shelf hornet. Dubiously useful, but... bling, I guess.

It has an RC6S receiver, $3.50 esc, and old futaba servo. I don't know much about this car, there is basically no information that I could fin...

Re: Xacto nicks and cuts
I had an x-acto knife (Jconcepts handle) roll off the end of my table and land upright into the top of my bare foot. The weight of the handle meant the entire length of the blade went into my foot. I stared at it for a second because I couldn't believe it had just happened. this happened to...

Factory Works Steering on a GT? Help
I just got my RC10GT partially reassembled, and discovered that the steering is worse than useless. I want to get a Factory Works ball bearing steering kit for it, but am utterly lost as to what these 3 drag link options are. Is there any difference? Which one do I need for my GT?

The OS CZZ is back together, but will it run?
Finally got my OS Max CZZ back together today. New rod from Hong Kong, new piston pin from Dubai. New OS 8 glow plug, Fasteddy bearings and new gaskets. The carb got all new seals too, and everything was cleaned thoroughly. Screenshot_20240402-135943_Gallery.jpg Then one idiot slammed it all back t...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
These super cool gold autographics team crp decals! I'd been watching these on ebay for quite a while but got an offer I couldn't refuse. They're actually metallic which is awesome!

Re: The OS CZZ is back together, but will it run?
Yes, yes it will. Got it fired off for the first time. It ran horrible, but it moved. Accelerated, braked, steered. Got up to temp and seemed fine. The previous owner tells me it's the first time this car has moved in 17-20 years. It's kind of incredible to me, after seeing what condition it was in ...
