Re: Picture of the day. (Taken by you)

I've bought several R/C boats to use in it over the past 11 years, and not a single one has touched water yet. I usually only go in it once o...

Re: Picture of the day. (Taken by you)

 I was sitting here a half an hour ago (2:30am) when I heard a weird animal noise coming from outside I've never heard before. I didn't feel like getting up to investigate so instead I looked up what I guessed it could be, and I was right. It was a red fox. Here's the noise: https://www.youtube...

Re: Kyosho Outrage

Wow, that came out really great! I've always wanted to see one hopped-up, and with a different body. Everyone always goes for the box art look with them. Not that there's anything wrong with that!

Note: Maybe someone on here has done just that, and I haven't seen it. :P

Re: Tamiya Poly-Carbonate Metallic Paint - Backing colors

juicedcoupe wrote: Tue Jan 23, 2024 6:54 pm That's why I always do test strips with lexan scraps. That way, you can test different backing colors.

That still can be done! Do some spray outs on scrap pieces with different backing colors until you achieve the result you're the happiest with for the final product.

Re: Bored? Come To The Chit / Chat Thread

Anybody remember the old thread around here that was something like, singles or parts match or missing one? It was a thread where you post a picture of a one of a pair/set of parts, and maybe somebody has the match... Kind of a jokey thread but also kind of serious.. I do, and looked for it a...

Re: Hornet - is there such thing as too much chrome?

I've always preferred polished aluminum myself as it just looks better than chrome to me. A lot more effort has to go into doing it as well which is respectful. Either way, keep up the good work. :)

Re: Forum News & Discussion

After spending several hours on this, I discovered our servers mail setup through Cloudflare was misconfigured. what's called the DKIM signature was missing along with the DMARC record. I don't know if that will improve upon the problem or fix it entirely because the issue began long before switchin...

Re: Forum News & Discussion

Speaking of 4 letter acronyms, WarGames had WOPR. I'm just glad it wasn't that.

So is anyone getting the notification emails now that they didn't before? Did this fix anything?

Re: Forum News & Discussion

Well that's very discouraging. :| According to the responses others have received about similar email issues on phpBB's support forums, The developers claim it's down to the hosting providers.

There's maybe a few board settings I can play around with to see if that does anything.

Re: Forum News & Discussion

Well that's certainly good news. :) I don't know if it's every going to work 100% flawlessly, but it should work better now than it ever has before at least. My main hope is that all members receive the email when they initiate a password change now. Before it was random as to who got one, and who d...

Re: Super Clod build with a few mods

Yeah, it depends how hard you plan to ultimately run it but you can still do a lot with the stock chassis... until it cracks. Dang ABS plastic!

Re: Ultimate Vintage Brushed Motor Reference Guide (Discussion Topic)

Lowgear, when you have time there’s nearly 2 dozen Team Pit Stop motors listed at the bottom of the instructions that your could add to your guide. IMG_5160.jpeg I'm just seeing this now almost a month later. :? That's exactly the kind of info I'm looking for, and what this topic was meant for. :) ...
