Re: Turbo Optima Build - Stripped Set Screw Receptacle

Agree on the glue, but this way. Add a drop to the hole and add a drop of oil to the threads of the set screw. Install as normal. The oil will prevent the glue from sticking to the threads but form very tight to the screw and hole. I do this a lot for lower shock ends for rc10 when they are kinda lo...

Re: RC10T Team build from parts bin

We have not made too much progress lately as we are waiting for a few bits to arrive that I did not have in the parts bin. However, we did get the battery cup, antenna mount and rear arms installed: back_end6.jpg battery_cup.jpg I didn't have a decent set of hard anodized shocks so I fished a set o...

Re: Subaru Impreza rally car build

As a 1:1 Impreza owner, I'm very interested in this build and I'm looking forward to your progress! Thanks Matt, I'm a little envious. I've never owned a Subaru but I've admired them since the Brat was introduced back in the '80's. You're probably gonna be a bit disappointed with the finished rally...

Re: Subaru Impreza rally car build

Well, I guess that makes three of us. I looked at that Lancia a very long time before I realized it was a model. :D That T/A looks amazing as well; I'd like to see more of that car. Anyway, there's one final modification to the Scooby that I’d like to cover. The body came from Tamiya with bod...

Re: The Real Deal

"Holy Grail" Technigold came today....yanked it apart to see if it was authentic cause it turned more rpm at middle timing than i thought it should. 22,200 @ rpm 7.2v. Looks authentic to me. Seems it might have been balanced professionally.

Re: Kyosho Optima Mid Shed Find

Not one single picture did You care to share with us, not one word of thanks to the people responding to Your cry for help. Seems like a good idea turning Your thread into an advertisement for Your Ebay sale.

Re: The Real Deal

Have had zero time to start this restoration but gathering parts and got motor rebuilt. Put in new brushes, cut the comm, ceramic bearings and new decal. Shes a ripper, 23,000rpm @ 7.2v, zero degrees timing

Re: Gifted Fox

I drew these up awhile back, but only recently got a set of calipers to ensure the measurements were correct. Arm Model.png A colleague from work gave them a print on his machine and they fit perfect. I want to make some refinements to them, but its a start. Geometry identical to stock just added on...
