TRX-1 Mods and Parts guide
Hi guys I feel that something that's missing in this area is a consolidated thread that people can refer to when searching for parts or mods for their TRX-1s. Before I go on, I am anything but a guru on the car, i picked up a couple of them and raced one at a vintage meeting in October and am keen t...

Re: Raider and Rocky Gearbox Mod - Run Taller Gearing (bigger than a 15T Pinion)
Interesting reading, thanks for sharing I don't own a Raider, but im always interested in gearing cars correctly etc, What i dont quite understand is, I'm assuming that when they say 32 idler or 36 idler, thats effectively like a spur gear (as in the 36t or 32t gear matches up to the pinion) and if ...

Re: Getting my B3 Race Ready
Hi I have recently dug out my old B3 with the idea of taking up racing again and I have noticed I am missing the CVD dog bone and the relevant pins and coupling. As I am looking to race the car my intention is to try and replace the parts I need to with modern more readily available parts. I'm inte...

Re: Raider and Rocky Gearbox Mod - How to Run Taller Gearing (bigger than a 15T Pinion)
Thanks Cas22!! Also I know its been spoken about in here but I haven't actually seen anyone state it exactly. Can anyone confirm that when running the 32 tooth idler, that the 18 tooth pinion fits using the one of the standard motor mount holes with no modification? Cheers Also if I wanted to run s...

Re: My Ultima rere racer
nice one mate, i commented in the other thread about how to fit 2.2 inch wheels to an ultima, I have done a very similar thing as you, but i used Optima parts, which adds 5 degrees of caster which i found helped the buggy turn a lot better and widens the front end and i had to do the same as you and...

Re: Storm 2000 wheels
as others have mentioned, for the fronts, the simplest thing to do is get bearings with a 4mm inner and probably 10mm outer, look for front truck rims that use bearings and find out what size bearings they take so you know the outer diameter to get. you'd want rims with a bit of offset, maybe someth...

Re: Optima Mid Exo rc racer build
Looks ace so far. Looking forward to this build. I don't mean to threadjack, but the Optima and Lazer were both 4WD competition buggies sold at the same time? Why was this? Which was better performing? Thanks! So the Lazer superseded the Optima, the main differences being they went to full belt dri...

Re: Finally, the official Futaba FXT thread
Just saw this yesterday evening. Opened box but unassembled FXT kit. I did not bid, have too many already. Curious if anyone here on the forum won the auction. The Ebay find is indeed a complete kit, yes expensive, but less than I've seen them go for, and I've been looking for one for years. Notice...
