Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - August 2023 ** - Winner - juicedcoupe

TQ10, built from a bare chassis. Instead of an original, I went with a (somewhat) racer. - Andy's arms, Hogue bellcranks, A&L/ Factory Works towers (tall front for 0.71 shocks and Andy's arms) and transmission brace, and Pure-Tech strap. - TBG body and MCI decals, in semi-box art. - JC Racing wh...

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - August 2023 ** - Winner - juicedcoupe

Dinglem scared everyone away. Right now he is probably just waiting for the Loctite to dry on an AYK prototype raced by Jesus in the Olympics. This is my original Top Cat I bought new and re-acquired recently. I present it not as a "great build", but as a great experience- i.e. finding and...

My vintage Yokomo 870c Super Dog Fighter

This is my vintage 1980s Yokomo Super Dog Fighter buggy unveiled in 2023. This build is 90% complete with period-correct batteries and electronics. I prefer the look of a lay-down receiver configuration. This allows just enough space for a low-profile servo to fit perfectly in the tight space. Defin...

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - September 2023 * - Winner - RC10resto

IMG_2961.jpeg This is my 2016 Chris Van Air rc10t reproduction. This is based off the rc10t that won a nonvintage race in 2016 at Hot Rod Hobbies. Chris was kind enough to help me nail all the details and Jeremy from ‘off the grid ‘ rc paint made me an exact copy of the design he did for Chris. Her...

Composite Craft RPM '91 Worlds build thread

The CC RPM Worlds was based on the '91 Worlds Stealth buggy that AE developed for the loamy Freedom Hill Park track in Detroit that was hosting the 1991 IFMAR Off-Road Worlds. RPM developed the '91 Worlds front end kit for AE team drivers that weren't running a Stealth buggy. It took roughly 18 mont...

Re: Graphite RC10 with fuzzy dice

An absolute thing of beauty….could you slow down on your builds, I’m starting to feel like a slacker over here (my RC10GX has a layer of dust on it that is making me feel bad).  There is a time for everything... Shocks on, Wheels will go on soon and then the electronics. Need to figure o...

Complete Pictorial Timeline Of Novak Electronics

A while back I found a cool thread www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?t=239 started by Scr8p that linked to a timeline Novak had on their website. With Novak updates ending the timeline in 2009, their eventual closure, and wayback links as the only active workaround I thought brining the timeline onsite...
