Yokomo MR4-BC and MR4-BC special builds

Having been a way from any Yokomo builds since my WCS build I thought I'd jump back in with a couple of Yokomo MR4-BC builds. The first is a standard MR4-BC which I snagged of ebay for okay money, I managed to get a donner MR4-TC for a the special chassis and top brace, one way adaptor and one way f...

Re: Yokomo MR4-BC and MR4-BC special builds

The second build is a MR4-BC special which I got from Japan Yahoo auctions for an excellent price, it has the special shocks, special chassis and top brace one way adaptor (no special slipper unfortunately), special wheels and adaptors, the LWB conversion and I think a one way front diff which I wil...

Re: Kyosho Turbo Burns - New Rebuild

I still haven't gotten around to painting the body, but I did take some outdoor pictures to show off the SCC configuration. The clear body sort of looks cool. It changes depending on the lighting conditions.

The last part I am looking for this build are Chrono Racing aluminum center diff mounts.

Re: Just bought this heap on ebay

With an ebay chassis and more raiding of the the parts boxes, its now a roller. It actually still needs several small items before it will be ready for electronics. I just stuck a servo in to hold steering. I was going to leave it in pieces until I got everything for it but thought better of it. Wit...

Re: Dudgeon #3

Still waiting on the right deal for a donor truck. In the meantime I colored some of the white parts black, and custom cut a narrow tower from carbon to clear the team body. Such a big mess from such a small piece. 3287A7EB-7F45-40F1-B4E8-23EB024631AD.jpeg 2DDAC6B1-1A38-4073-830B-453EFBA87008.jpeg 4...

My Unhinged Bigwig

Merry Christmas! Hope everyone had a great day with family. I've owned a few Bigwigs, both in the late '80's and one I built one about ten years ago, by buying every part until I had a complete kit, ready to assemble, in front of me. That one was fun. Couldn't help snap a re-release up. I originally...

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - January 2021 ** - Winner - LoboNYC

This is a custom legend based build I did for Noah with the help of a good friend and racer. Noah helped design the Lego theme wrap on the real legend car of another local racer that gave him the entire car as a canvas for his imagination to run wild. We had the wrap scaled down by Vital Graphics so...

O.S. CZ11 makeover

First off. Big thanks to Alex, LoboNYC for parting with one of his super cool Paris dish O.S. conversion kits. Always hooking me up!!! Started of with a good little CZ11, and the donated conversion kit 80008620-0038-43D2-B994-4AE69ED5620B.jpeg Everything you need to rebuild an engine minus bearings....

Re: Cat identification help??

Toaster. Just downloaded a procat manual and all the part numbers and everything tallies. I’m 100% that’s what it is. Gonna slowly source some parts as I have a couple of other projects to finish first. Including an rc10 b4 which I’ll post some pics up when done. Really stuck on what colour(s) to do...

Re: Old School A Stamp/6 gear resto

Are those the same blind people that are drilling out the chassis of the ones I buy? Yeah, thats them. In addition to the holes, they are usually twisted and bent so bad that they turn on their own. And disassembling the transmissions, shocks, and motors is always a surprise. I'd say that it'...

Re: Yokomo wheel offset -conclusion-

This is really good info sandkil. This is a tough subject to gather the facts on, but you did a great job! Sorry I can't be of more help. I can tell you the offset difference between 870c and later yz10, when the arms changed shape. The rear wheels have about a 7mm offset difference. The fronts are ...

Re: Another ebay rescue

Well, this is how it sits at the moment. I haven't bought anything for it, just cleaned what was there or dug through my spare junk. The transmission internals were perfect, I just cleaned and lubed everything. I found a 87T spur and some slipper parts as well. The truck came with dogbones and axles...

T4.1 ft that was free

This truck belonged to a friend of mine. He is a very OCD avid racer. He does every little thing to get that extra little edge down to wet sanding brand new diff rings to a mirror finish. Anyways he moved away from my area (pa) in 2014 to Florida. So to make a long story short, the first week of qua...

Re: Just bought this heap on ebay

Seeing that this is turning out to be a fairly nice truck, I decided that it deserved something better than some mismatched plastic shocks. I picked up this set of new 1.02's on clearance from Associated a few years ago. I kept them around in case I ever needed parts. I never did, so I decided to go...
