Need an ID for a non-stock RC12LW front suspension
Greetings, all. It's been a while, and this is my first foray into the on-road forum.
I bought a very used and sadly broken RC12LW Graphite off of eBay a few years ago and I'm finally getting around to giving it some love. The period electronics have been removed and I'm going to need help with some missing parts, but right now I'm just doing an inventory of what I've got and going from there.
This thing came with a non-Associated front suspension on it. Can anyone shed any light as to who made it? What would the advantage be of using this over the stock front end, if any? I apparently uses the same footprint as stock since the chassis doesn't seem modified to fit it.
Anyone? Thanks!

Cool. Thanks. Any idea what it does that the stock front end doesn't already do? Just adds a little stiffness maybe? I don't see any added adjustability. Or is it just 'different'?

I don't really know. Stiffness, from the built in cross brace, or maybe weight savings. It's a hop-up from the late 80's... So it didn't really need to have a legit advantage to get made. I do know Raceco made a chassis that converted the Delta 1/12 cars to RC12i/l front suspensions, and it's possible their front beam simply came from just wanting to have another product to sell.
