1974 Tamiya M-4 Sherman rc tank 1/16 scale project

Post by matthew john »

i got this from my buddy at the swap meet. paid only $150 for it!!

its a 1974 M-4 tank,1/16 scale. dual 380 motors , brass tracks (think they are brass)
has a single stick 3 channle radio , MRC electrics. tank works, but all the bushings need replaced,(makes noises as the tank turns) think the clutch mechanisms need rebuilt. when i got it had dry mud on it, so i took the tracks off and cleaned it up a bit, removed the electrics, and pulled the drive train assembly . that was just to get the mud out of it.
put it back together, and its been sitting for 7 months. should be starting the resto here in a few days.

here's some recent pics. Enjoy!!

well i was going to start today but this guy on ebay started a fight with me on ebay, cancled my bids on a Edinger gold pan rc10, then he was saying i was some guy named Chris and i was trying to get him out of business or something. very wierd, waisted my time, have to make a new EvilBay acct because of this guy.

should start later on soon !

it was like a email argument. i had bidded on a Edinger chassis, would have won the bid for $18.00!!
he emailed me saying he thinks i have no intentions of buying the chassis if i win it. said he thought i was chris or some one acting on his behalf, trying to waiste his time and make hime lose business.
he then took the item off ebay, and left it at that/ totaly wierd, have no idea what he was talking about,
but oh well. i still got my gold pans and my tank,so im happy.
