i was thining more of a bromance, but whatever...
i dont know if i have much ambition to anything other than take a shower, smoke, and lay down for awhile. i do have quite a bit of work to complete on my rigs as well.

and is there a car wash close to the hotel? i just spent a good half hour trying to find one based off the lady at the front desk's directions and ended up lost in the ghetto.

Any idea what time the races will start on Saturday and Sunday?

Races will start between 11am and noon, so I would suggest to be there at around 10am to set-up, sign up, and race....

NEVER done racing but I have some questions. So it looks like they are running stock motors for most/all the classes- are these ones you bring or do they give you?

I understand the sections that say "open" ie for tires ect... but what about chassis and shocks... are these area's open for mods too!

you supply your own motors, whether they're brushed or brushless.

yes, you can make mods to the chassis/suspension. but remember.... this is a VINTAGE race (pre '94 vehicles). don't be showing up with a b4 trans stuffed into your gold pan rc10 or anything like that.

I was the poor guy pitted next to Erich Fun times, I'm coming back with more cars next year.

It was great meeting everyone, Hoopty,Bscotti, Aconsola, reign, civilguy, ccristo, Melvin, Erich. You guys were a great group of racers, even the guys that don't race. By the end of the weekend you were wheelin' like some old racers.

I saw a bunch of awesome cars
I achieved my goal of making the A main in the biggest most competitive class and I got to meet a bunch of really nice guys.

Mark and the RCHR crew you run a great show and have a really nice track.
Thanks for the setup, it helped out, I just got nervous and couldn't drive in my main, I'm not looking forward to watching that video

Well, once again, I am completely stoked with the weekend I had coming up to CT for the Vonats! Out of all the races I attend, this one by far is my favorite!

Big thanks to John, Mark, Will, and Hilde for putting on a well organized show and the excellent track layout! I know how much work it takes to do this and we are all thankful for your efforts!

Anybody who may have had their reservations about attending this race or simply couldn't make it, you missed a good one! But there is always next year. I already plan on making it come hell or high water.

It was good to see all of my friends again, and enjoyed meeting everyone else as well. Mark, Jeff, Jay, Scott, Brian, Travis, Freddie, Anthony, Erich, Ryan, and anyone else I missed, it was a pleasure racing with all of you!

Freddie, I would have been just as happy finishing second to you in the classic class! Everytime I think about that main, it still brings a smile to my face. That was the most fun I had out of any of the classes I ran.

I learned a few things this weekend:

Supershots like to eat brushed racing motors

Frogs have splined pressed in front axles

RC10's rock

Schumachers are no joke

Yokomos are no joke either

Everyone who races vintage rides are the nicest people out there

Kyosho would be stupid not to add Kyle to their roster of sponsored drivers

Lunchboxes CAN clear doubles

Anthony is very lucky when it comes to winning aluminum wheels

Lipo batteries are the poo

Brushless motors are the poo too

If I lived in CT, RCHR would be my home track

It's hard to buy beer in CT

It's hard not getting lost in CT while looking for a store that sells beer

Jay is getting to be a good racer for this being his 2nd race ever

Freddies wife makes the best chicken & rice and beans of anybody I know

Brian owns some ultra cool cars

Brown boogers take some time to get rid of

The weather in CT this time of year can't be beat

I lost a lot of sleep druming up stories about racing in my younger years

It's hard not getting lost in CT while looking for a store that sells beer- You have to have a good sense of direction to live here

The weather in CT this time of year can't be beat- Mid Sept- Mid Oct is the ONLY reason I live here and love it... trust me we pay DEARLY for it come February and July
