Re: TRX-1 Scott Montgomery Replica
Found some new rear Bullet rims! Also watching e-bay for the novak esc. Got a wing and losi wire and mounts as well. Just need to find the motor, servo, and the hardest part, a body! Pics to come!

Re: TRX-1 Scott Montgomery Replica
If you want to get rid of it let me know
Well to update this thread I got a bunch of new parts and am going to start getting this project wrapped up soon. I got the blue front shock shafts, Novak ESC, and some more parts are on the way, including the bullet rear rims, just need to find some Losi X pattern tires for them. Now if I could just get Mr. Lexan to reproduce the body I would be set!
I should have more than a few parts left over from this build so if you are looking for parts the left overs will be in the BST area soon.

Re: TRX-1 Scott Montgomery Replica
Hi Guys cool, thread, any ideas on how the AE front wheels were adapted?
Was this the spec used at the 91 Detroit worlds? I believe the TRX-1 piloted by Scott Montgomery qualified 4th at that event.

Re: TRX-1 Scott Montgomery Replica
I think the AE wheels are a direct fit?
Got some work done last night, but after reviewing some more pictures I see Scott ran black shock adjustors up front. So I'll have to take the white off tonight and luckily I have some black one's that will work. For the rear I'm guessing he used RPM clips, the AE B4RS uses these so I'll have to get a set to see if they work.
Now to get Kenooze to sell me that motor and Mr. Lexan to get the repro bodies going!

Re: TRX-1 Scott Montgomery Replica
I love the TRX-1. I started racing a Traxxas Bullet before I got my first RC10 and never raced another car. But when this one came out I almost switch back. I am looking forward on this built, looking good Konich.

Hi Konich,
I know B4 fronts don't fit and they are the same size as most other AE - 3/16 x 3/8.
TRX-1 Bearings are 5X11mm.
I wonder if they were using AE axles, or drilled the wheel?

Re: TRX-1 Scott Montgomery Replica
either rc10, or losi front axles, the losi axles look a little more like the TRX1 factory part, but with black nylon and 3/16" axles. Maybe thats what they used?

Re: TRX-1 Scott Montgomery Replica
highwayracer once told us he press-fitted 8x4 mm bearings in rc10 front hubs to use on his ultima. So I guess you could also pres-fit 8X5 mm bearings in them so they'd work on the stock 5mm axle of the trx-1
