Wow, that is really cool looking. I wish the body would fit on any 1/10th buggies.

what i really hate about losi, is that they still charge $89.00-$99.00 for that spektrum reciever as a spare part, yet the whole care is $149. they should be selling those recievers as what they actually cost with slight markup, $20 lol

I agree completely, their pricing scheme is insane on the spektrum RX units. If they lowered the price they would sell so many more of them. At $25 each I know I would buy many of them myself.mikedealer wrote:what i really hate about losi, is that they still charge $89.00-$99.00 for that spektrum reciever as a spare part, yet the whole care is $149. they should be selling those recievers as what they actually cost with slight markup, $20 lol

Looking at the spare parts list they must have just dropped the MAP on that LOSB0806 RX. it is now on losi and horizon.com for 49.99. all the ebay retailers still have it at 74.99
I wonder if it is a temporary error, or if the price has finally dropped?

Is it just me or is the Losi transmitter the most unappealing looking one ever made?
I know it has good tech behind it, but come on, it looks like Radio Shack designed the case for them. Anyway...

It is very toy like. I am a Futaba man my self. I miss the old mid 90's JR and sport.Brandon G wrote:Is it just me or is the Losi transmitter the most unappealing looking one ever made?

Hmm, it's cool, but looks to "toy" like for me. I agree, the radio looks like something that comes out of Walmart, works well, but gezz. Seems that Horizon's direction is taking Losi down the wrong path if you ask me, using the Losi name to sell and promote toy grade RC cars. I will admit, I have been thinking about a mimi T or micro desert truck to keep my busy during the winter months, but more and more when I think of Losi I think of these types of cars, not the racing/high quality cars that made them who they are today. I realize that times have changed and they need to make money in order to survive, but there has to be a limit somewhere to making toys and not real RC vehicles. Not really sure where I am going with this, but it's just what came to mind when I saw this new buggy. Just as long as they don't forget who and how Losi became who they are, then I will be happy with that. I hope they use the profit from these toy grade vehicles to keep putting out professional grade RC vehicles. With out starting another debate, Porsche has done this with their company. They produced a real money maker with the Cayenne (a Porsche SUV??!!! talk about making something that doesn't go with the company history), and with the profit that they make from the Cayenne they put it back into developing the hard core cars that has made then who they are today (all over simplified, but you get the point). Any way, just my thoughts on this new buggy....LOL

Originally they were pretty cheap and then people caught on that they would bind with actual Spektrum systems and the price mysteriously jumped. Not sure if it was because of greed or because of some kind of deal they had with Spektrum if they were doing their radio stuff.
